Your channel is growing fast for a reason.... In one year you will reach a million. I had such a productive training session today because of your channel....
Niels,I wanted to add this comment to my earlier post. In the 1960's a young man from Oregon (USA) invented a very unorthodox technique to participate in his favorite sport. His selfmade method was all together different from any other player in his sport. The press, at that time, gave him a hard time and called him goofy.. The young man's name was Dick Fosbury. The sport was the high jump. The press called his method the "Fosbury Flop". In the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City Dick Fosbury won the gold medal in the high jump and set a world, using the "Fosbury Flop". Today everybody in the world uses his technique in the high jump.I think you're the Dick Fosbury of pool.
The last one is my favorite as it‘s hard to recognize the opportunity on first sight. I‘m going to practice this one..! Thanks a lot Niels for the work you‘re putting into sharing some pool wisdom with us..! Excellent content, presented and explained in a very competent and sympathetic manner. I dig it..!👌👍💪
I recently saw Shane Van Boening and Francisco Bustamante playing a match of safetys! (A 9 ball rack where you play safe with the 1 ball, every ball made goes to the spot and the you lose the game when you fail 7 or 8 safetys) It was awesome seeing all the mastery of Django and the creativity of Shane. It would be awesome seeing you play this game of safetys! Cheers Niels!
Great Video....appreciate the thorough nature of your explanations. For example, when you talk about using high left vs high on the first kick, i usually take english into account, on a shot like this after it hits the rails, but, as you note, thinking about how the spin then affects the object ball well would usually be overlooked by me. I suspect overlooked by many. This adds an extra dimension of control to the kick that I previously did not consider.
All these kicks come up so often man. Thanks again. Key thing from this is speed. Hit and hope should only ever be the last resort haha kick 5 is very nice. 👌🏻. Thanks Terminator. Look forward to the next one.
Great as usual, you really have a nice way of explaining stuff. Maybe even dumb down for us a bit more, like playing rail first with top will produce stop shot on ob :). Thanks for great content!

Great video. Speed control seems to be key to have success on kick shots. I like the last kick shot the best. Using the reverse english is non intuitive but again Efren seems to be the best at that.

Niels, how about doing a video showing how you grip the cue and why it slides forward in your hand when you shoot. Also, show us how and why your stance is very different from any other pro player. Thirdly, could you address the subjects of aiming, stroking and follow through and head position over the cue ball. To me your game looks very different than any other player. Every single one of those shots are a half ball hit and the object ball is close to the rail, so it is mainly about hitting the correct side of the ball with the right speed. Obviously you can not make it perfectly safe every time, but with good speed control and hitting the correct side of the ball good results will happen, even by leaving a longer shot for the opponent. So it is not really about hitting and hoping but instead knowing the correct shot / side of the ball to hit that gives you the best possible outcome.
