Back when I was a kid getting my start 50 years ago, I learned from an old timer once you had the oil pump off the bike to take a welding rod and strike the ball bearing you had mounted and grounded in a vice. Then you could use the combination of the ball on the welding rod to lap in the seat on the oil pump. Then you clean it all up and put a new ball and spring in. Worked every time.
Hi great channel here! Can I ask a question? I just bought a Harley WL 45 and when riding the red oil pressure light comes on and off. I'm running straight 50. Not sure if I'm getting good flow or anything because I just bought the bike. Seems like I hear a faint bottom end " knock noise" but maybe I'm just not used to the way thease motors sound?? How do I check for good flow and pressure? What should pressure be? Thanks!
@@theworkshopuk There are no comments visible under that video and I think UA-cam algorithm may have got confused, and put them all up for review. I left an innocent comment, and that's when I noticed.
Love the sound of a panhead in the morning. Think I'll start mine before going to work,
Great videos. Will try this fix on my shovelhead
Cheers Wes!

Are you blocking comments now (e.g. on the electrics rewiring video)?
No not at all, actually the opposite! I've checked that video and it shows "allow all comments" - why do you ask?

Weird, there's nothing under review either. This is ep242, wiring tips for any bike?
@@theworkshopuk Yep, it could be that the algorithm is just going crazy auto-deleting everything under that video for reasons we don't know.
That's annoying... maybe try leaving your comment again and see if it sticks this time?!
