All my numbers indicate that the recent algorithm change has tanked my shop. Just not getting my products in front of the right customers anymore. It was an overnight difference.
@@helloeverbee They've done something with the algorithm already. Started a bit last month, but drastic changes this month. There's a lot of reports over in the etsyseller subreddit as well. My store was saturating my advertisement budget, and I have 7 months of data showing growth. Then it just tanked. Same exact items just aren't getting in front of people. Less views, even less clicks, and even less conversion. Same products with month over month growth, and then all of the sudden my ads reach no one. Instead of using the full $13/day, as little as $4 is getting touched.
The case rating ones about to be a big issuse for so many. etsy refund buyers way to fast and leave seller in the dust. Q4 the worse time of year for it. Etsy really need to stop that and have a real update on it that supports both seller and buyers to both side int getting scammed.
Hey, thanks! The shipping cost under 6$ in US or everywhere? I have couple of listings either front and back designs on a shirt, so on my main image there is a model front and back, it is considered as a collage photo by Etsy. Looks like they didn’t think too much doing this feature. What do you suggest to do?
@@helloeverbee the collage as a main photo is lowering the search visibility. My photo is not a collage. It shows front and back of the shirt. Etsy says - replace your photo collage. What is the way then to show on a main photo that there is a design on back as well?
@@rashelginzburg I would just put that back photo as the second photo in your carousel and make sure you have a VIDEO that showcases the front and back because people can see your video immediately when they hover over your listing.
My Etsy shop is 10 years old and I do, or should I say did 6 figures of business a year. For the past 5 years by shop revenue has increased at least 10% a year. My listings were all already compliant with the new standards. All metrics starting tanking on my shop immediately following the Etsy announcements back in July. By Sept 1 everything was down 70% and now end of Sept all metrics are down 90%. This makes zero sense and I need it to make sense. Many of my listings were top or near top in their categories. I have been selling online since the late 90's and have experienced downturns before But they are always gradual, short term and never has the downturn been more than 15%. To go down 90% in less than 3 months is just bizarre. The prevailing wisdom has been wait until Oct. 1. So many long term, high earning shops have experienced downturns. Does anyone really think that Oct. 1 will come along and everything start to get better? They won't for me. Sept is always my best month. The products I sell are used by others to create other products. Sept is always my biggest month as purchases are made so products and gifts can be made for the holiday season. Thanks a lot Etsy. I do have other income streams but it is a bitter pill to watch all my hard fought for success on Etsy disappear in such a short period of time. Etsy needs to keep in mind that their longer term successful sellers need to be treated kindly when making changes to the algorithm.
@@helloeverbee very much evergreen. September last year we started a healthy incline towards Christmas. I've seen lots of sellers talking about flatlining at the start September. Like a switch has been flicked off.
Sooooo…. I made ALL the changes Etsy was requesting to ALL the listings that needed changed and my best sellers that I finally had after putting some very dedicated work in when from getting thousands of views to 4-10 views!!! 😢
@@patriciataylor5706 omg I’m sorry to hear this! But making changes to listings restarts the algorithm on them so that’s not abnormal at all. They were bestsellers before, they could be bestsellers again 😊
