You forgot to mention J.T. Canales, Texas State legislator who served 5 terms. He led the investigation that led to charges against the Texas Rangers and an official reduction in their number. He presented his findings to a joint session of the Texas Senate and House of Representatives. I attended the school named after him.

@@dadrocha7741And according to my reading, he really wasn’t worthy of mention in regards to this video. His “investigation “ came after the official investigation by the Rangers, in which Rangers were dismissed.

In south Texas, we Texanos called (the old Ranger Force) them "Los Rinches!" They were muderers and terrorists to the Texanos of what became Texas but had been New Spain for four hundred years! Personally, they hanged a grand uncle for whom I am named; they jailed my grandfather for hearding his own cattle and without charges! They mudered another granduncle because he dared challenge the Sheriff who came to claim their land. My own father had his experiences too but when he returned from the WWII, he said, "We could read and write English and we knew how how to use a gun so the could not treat us like that any more!"

The Texas Rangers were some of the most racist cops that ever existed. Killing Mexicans, Tejanos and native Americans on the spot. Women , children etc. In a little town in Texas the chicanos stood together and made the pieces of shit surrender. They cowardly surrender to General Sherman in the civil war, while the Tejano/Hispanic confederate soldiers were never defeated in battle. The Rangers were bullies with weapons, like dictators against unarmed citizens, of another race.

@@malbourne805 I totally agree! As a child I really thought that when the "Lone Ranger" rode "Silver" up the hill and Silver reared up on this back legs, that he actually stayed that way until the commercial was over!! LOL (also wondered why Tonto was always sent into "town" to gather info just to get his butt kicked! LOL I used to love Saturday morning as a child. (I'm 76 years young now!!) BTW, one of my favorite nostalgia questions is "We know THE LONE RANGER's horse's name was "Silver" but what was Tonto's horse's name?? heh heh heh!!

My GGG grandfather, Nathaniel Thomas Journey, was an early Texas Ranger, in the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame. His name is on several historical markers around the state. He rode against the commanches that were killing the settlers. He was killed by an outlaw. I was born in his home county of Fannin.

My great grandgreatfather was a Mexican American born in Texas. He was against Texas rangers for obvious reasons and interests.. He fought against Texas rangers aka rinches with he's famous 30-30 Remington rifle and he's horse... Rinches were after him not shure if that was because he took down some of hem but he hidden himself in the cerros in Mexico to let the waters chill. In that process he had sons in Mexico he had sons in the USA too So when everything chilled completely he came to take their USA born family to work on the farms while the mexican ones they made their own life in Mexico but as they said story repeats itself and here we are in our bloody root country...

UNFORTUNATELY you chose to use pictures of the worst portrayal of the Lone Ranger using pictures of an unbelievably bad movie using live dummies for Clayton Moore and Jay silverheals. That ruined this whole video of the history of the Texas Rangers.

Here's another side. Pancho Villa murdered my grandma's family, the Rangers were the only ones that weren't afraid to go after these Mexican "freedom fighter" criminals, and my family is Hispanic. Say what you want about the Texas Rangers, at least they did something about the problems instead of just saying feelgood fancy words
