    While we were up in the North East they had an event at Etown that we have won before called “The Gambler”. It’s a competition that has a 235 class which is a select group of long lasting tires in sizes 235 and smaller. Then they have an unlimited class which is to run any tire you want in any size. We decided to run both. The 235 on our Nitto 555 G2, and the unlimited on a 275 NT05.
    Unfortunately during our top 16 battles we had an issue come back from years ago! DAMNIT!

      Yeah but isn’t the ecoboost 2.0 and 2.3 engine block design loosely based on mazda’s previous motors? I’d really like to know more but can’t find much reliable info on it

    Chelsea is one of the top for me.
    Passion and honesty are keys to this sport.
    Chelsea has both.

    Chelsea going to the judges to tell them the contact was because of his mechanical failure and he deserves the loss, when the judges were ready to award him the win, is why were fans of Chelsea.
    It’s like how the #1 rule of golf is to maintain the spirit of the game. It’s the sportsmanship and honor system rule. Chelsea brings that to drifting.

    Experiment with some primary sizing and downpipe sizing. I think you have enough WG priority to run small primary tubes and not worry about too much back pressure. Could probably get away with smaller. What is current runner ID? 2.25”? On my 2.3 setup I have a single 2.5” ID single scroll setup. Even if you have dual 2” primaries, you’re looking at 27% more runner volume… 2.25- 61% more…
    full boost at 4000rpm on my precision 6062 setup, still make 490whp, we limit torque to 400ftlbs cuz stock longblock, it is a little sluggy at low rpm but transient response is great.
    Too much runner volume will make it sluggish to come back on.
    Dual 1.75” ID primaries would go a long way in terms of getting that exhaust velocity up.

    • @chelseadenofa
      @chelseadenofa  Місяць тому +5

      These are 1.75. We did that to keep the velocity up. The turbo is wrong for the setup and unfortunately you need 400tq at 3500 in 3rd gear for this kind of drifting

    I get the lightweight of the ecoboost 4 cyl, but have you looked into the 6 cyl ecoboost for a little extra power? Or even possibly a NA coyote? I wonder how the weight of either of those engines would be vs the weight of a 4 cyl ecoboost? If its only 50-100 lbs more for either option, would you think about replacing the 4 banger?

      @@chelseadenofa car won't shut it self down while in drift randomly and would be safer for you. Cletus had a the same issue with Leroy and Taylor Ray had issue with his Miata. Both changed out just the throttle body and fixed the issues right away. Small issues that aren't really going to hurt anything shuts the car down for no reason. All I'm saying it's worth a try especially since you don't care if the engine really blows, put a drive by cable and let the car self adjust through the computer instead of letting it kill your run.
