    Ok first thing "dammit" I am trying not to get another bass. But at 3:06 I thought Bootsy Collins walked in doing a finger funk groove. The bass sounds great. You gotta do one more video with the bass by itself and going through all the tones. Encore!!! Bravo...Bravo!!! BTW the tmb100 is active.

    You got the 310! Yes! I got the same bass,fyi if you ever take it to get the pots fixed,it's going to take a while,Ibanez don't make the pots anymore,they gotta custom build new sets,I just had mine at the shop it took 3 months to get back,all because I had to wait for Ibanez to build and ship them,take your control plate off and look inside,it's like looking inside a tv or radio! Each pot has a pre amp on it then there's a master pre amp, check it out Bully I'm telling you,there's some powerful funkatry goin in inside then TALMAN 310s boy!!

    Okay Al, YES the bass is sick! I played one and as much as I'm a fender guy, I couldn't deny the TONE, FEEL, and how RESPONSIVE the bass was. Actually, a "boutique" bass maker turned me on to it and said it's become his "GO TO" bass. I really don't get easily impressed but...............I'm impressed!

Small potatoes in the grand scheme of things, but looks are a factor too. Regardless, yours sounds fantastic, and that green finish is perfect. Congrats on finding such a great bass without having to sell a kidney to fund it.

    I like Ibanez basses. Even my cheaper GIO sounds and performs great. My only problem with Ibanez's cheap stuff is that the fret edges tend to be rough. My bass scratched up my hand and I had to take some sandpaper to it. I've noticed this even in some higher-end models trying them out in guitar stores. Only issues I've ever had and an easy fix.

    Tmb's are nice basses,but a word to the wise,change the tuning pegs,the stock ones ate cheap,mine broke on tje D string a month after buying my 310,also be careful with the stacks ,once again,mine literally pulled out the shaft on the volume,and the cheap brass simply broke on my volume pot, i dont play out anymore,all this happened just jammining at home,i baby my guitars too so its just i got a bad bass ,it happens,im just giving a heads up to those that do play out and want to use their talman to gig

    • @BullyThaKidd
      @BullyThaKidd  6 років тому +5

      ok... hopefully i can answer all these on my phone.... 1st question... i hav been playing for about 15 years... it wasn't just one song and then im awesome lol it takes time... realistically you can be better than me in like 2 years if you play often enough. 2nd question... Bass is my second instrument i started on the drums... 3rd... usually a lot of 70s era funk and disco... back when bass lines were kinda complex ... groups like sly and the family stone, parliment funkadelic, bootsy collins, james brown, earth wind and fire. hope that helps.

    I've been looking at buying an SRMS805, but for the money... You just sold me on that Talman series!
    I like short scales because they're tight low-end, but if they put a piezo under that bridge you could remove even more bass guitars from anyone's collection. That's what the Supro Huntington II/III has going on and it closes the gap between a short to standard scale bass by adding that missing high-end. Maybe I'll do that mod myself, but I may not want it depending on what I'm playing.
    Now this may sound racist LMAO... 🤣
    Bully, I have to be honest! You did not disappoint in your Talman impromptu demo and in general, *black guys know their bass!* It's taken me so many videos until I just had to stop watching all bass videos from white folks and darn it if I ain't white myself! 🤔😱🤣 Cannot deny most of the white people on UA-cam shouldn't be making bass videos... There's a few Talman nightmare videos by white dudes who don't have a musical bone in their body!
    I have to ask you though, have you watched the *Leland Sklar* UA-cam channel?! Dude's a bass legend that I'm sure you've heard of more than a few times and he's showing some amazing bass parts... (I guess he's an exception to my rule.) He just did Rubberband Man, I miss all the old music that makes modern music a waste of time.
    Now I'm off to listen to the Detroit Spinners do Rubberband Man!
