  • Join me in my latest video where I dive into the world of comic book art by inking a girl's hair with meticulous detail. I'll take you through my process, actually staring out by sketching out and penciling the the head and hair first. Then, I start the inking with a brush pen to lay down the bold, sweeping strokes that give her hair volume and movement. I also use an inking pen for that fine, crisp edge that defines each strand, adding depth and texture to the illustration. Whether you're an aspiring artist or just love the art of inking, you'll get an inside look into the techniques that bring comic characters to life. Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe for more art adventures!

Wonderful art and voiceover of the work.
13:05 I was *just* thinking about how well the ink flows in the larger areas when you mentioned the brush pen and how you don't miss dipping. 🙂
What brand are you using? I've been looking for a nice one for the road, but I can't make out which pen you have here.

Thank you, Chad! I am using the Kuretake Mannen Mouhitsu brush pen: amzn.to/3yq0WYf (The link is an Amazon Affiliate link, this means that, at zero cost to you, I will earn an affiliate commission if you click through the link and finalize a purchase.
