Just in case it hasn't been commented, DIFFERENT POCKET MODS STACK! Also electric traps will be better than turrets, unless youre trying to farm and craft a bunch or ammo every week. Loving the series!
I've been watching my dad play this. He's an older sort of gamer and even on Scavenger, The wasteland is INCREDIBLY dangerous. Full sized Bears, the new Dire wolves and SO MANY IRRADIATED ZOMBIES IN EVERY POI. He's on like, Day 90 and things are INCREDIBLY sketched out with double Irradiated Screamer Zombies every 5 minutes wandering into his base.
Brilliant episode bro, never been early enough to comment so ill just list from here: Work on shotgun messiah so you can get the one tap shot shots might make horde clearing easier in pois. Also when your standing on a car your not on a solid block so they sometimes path to a building near you Get a full assassin outfit as on insane you want to avoid fights. As long as you get out of view and hold crouch they will loose track of you May edit this after I've finished watching the episode!!! Thanks for the content it's great! Love the fast paced gameplay so much
Tips for the horde base is to upgrade the top blocks to steel as that'll cost like 20 steel. 10 each. And you can buy that from trader if you don't have crucible. Then you can try use the robotic turrets helping you during repair times And yeah electric wires would help tons
Nades, molotows etc. Altso u should get more mixers and forges to speed up cement mix production. Fun series tho 🤩 Edit; no need for pack Mule. Pocket mods come in quad now
So I'm at about the 6 1/2 minute mark and I am feeling this...i had 3 bases fail 3 blood moons in a row (day 35, 42, and 49) i ended up having to spend, quite literally, my next seven days mining and forging steel to buff my current base (reminder, the 4th base I made in as many blood moons) entirely to steel...i ended up going with one of Izprebuilt's designs and it's been a dream ever since...my next horde night is day 70 and I heven't even come close to failing a horde night since i failed day 49 anyway, love the vids, I've watched several of your 100 days series, I'm digging this one...great work
My friend, make sure you put a horizontal pillar 0.05m on the top part of that block in the horde base. so they can't crawl under it easily. and make it concrete so it is harder for them to break it. i mostly melee on horde nights and just switch to weapons when they start stacking up. with the sledgehammer you can knock quite a few of them with one swing. it's my favorite melee weapon in the game. sledge/smg is the only weapons i frequently use. i dont usually use the hatch on the floor because i can't hit the dogs/crawling zombies. i use scaffolding ladder with the opening going vertical instead of horizontal. hit me up if you don't understand what i mean. best of luck!
Pack Mule isnt necessary you can stack multiple pocket mods if they are different value on each armour item, I would put points into a gun skill and use that gun for horde nights plus penetrator skill for a corridor base like yours.
Another fun video syzen. Something you could try is to put 1/4 or 1/8 corner poles horizontally right above where you place the hatches. I should stop them crawling over hatches, and maybe slow their progress a bit.
for horde night, i reccomend using grenades and other throwables since they don't do much damage to structures, and can also help you thin out the horde and keep it more managable
Electrical traps, cheap and easy to maintain, also consider going melee for as long as you can through horde night and only use the AK in Oh Shite moments, awesome video though....fun to watch :D.
I’m such a fan of you, your channel, and your content! Also idk if you already are or not but I’ve found it to usually be more economical to pop vitamins before a horde night, idk if they changed it in the new update but I would find them more than antibiotics and would try to keep a stack on me when I run quests too
I do have a couple suggestions of my own to maybe help out: - Don't make a T6 Item unless either the skill is completely maxed out, or if you have an excess or Parts. A T5 in most cases can work just as well. - If you want a godly looting setup: Use the Rogue Hood (Increases your Loot Stage), Scavenger/Lumberjack Outfit (Both increase inventory size), Rogue Gloves (Increases Lockpicking Speed/Success Chance) and any +Run Speed Boots (Nomad, Athletic, Commando, etc.)
At one point you asked what we think would be the best thing for your horde base. Personally I'd start with adding bars to the gap that the zombies are crawling through. They aren't actually called "bars" (tressle maybe?) but they should let you melee and shoot through while stopping the zombies from crawling through except for the occasional glitch.
I don't know if you'll read this, and I know you don't want to change the base design that much, but I would suggest IzPrebuilt's Alpha 21 Stilt Base. It's 19 blocks off the ground, and it makes sure that you have breathing room when knocking off the zeds. The only issue that you would have when building it is constantly needing blocks to get up while also keeping in mind how high up you are. It also makes sure that the zeds don't go into "destroy area" mode when falling off. Have a good day Mr. iSyzen.
I would love to show you my hoard base that has never failed me to this day and its somewhat simple.. your hoard base struggle make it entertaining tho
I love seeing people react to the new Dire Wolf model. That thing scared me so bad when I first saw it and even scared me out of a sound sleep that night lol.
@Syz im at around 1700 hours on steam & the easiest base ive made in this new update is literally a 2 scaffolding ladders to go up as high as you want (mines 40 blocks), thin pillars as the base to go up and security plates by the top to stand on and shoot down. Im on day 99 and havent had one hiccup yet, love the series !
19:12 I think you can wear multiple armor pocket mods as long as their not the same size (ie. have a quad and triple on the same piece of armor). So you shouldn't need pack mule. I personally opt to not use pack mule but it's user preference, if you want to then go for it.
I reckon using the hammer will be better than gun when facing a crowd of zombies as hammer deals AOE damage and can knock down the zombies quite easily
put a centred pillar above your hatches, makes it so they can’t crawl over, upgrade your hatches to vault ones whenever you can makes a massive difference from iron
Try to get your hands on a bipod mod for your assult rifle as it makes it spread less, also don't rely on just on your assult rifle, use your handgun too :)
You’ll want electric traps but you really need to invest in sledge turrets. That alone could’ve made early game so much easier. Even late game sledge turrets are useful
actually this werewolf is an old Dire Wolf with new graph :D try to put few pocket mods on each equipment part also get rid of pack mule alsoooo u can try add few poles at ur horde base above trap doors .
@@isyzen yea you can stack pocket mods of different sizes. I think it takes 4 size 4 pocket mods and a size 3 pocket mod. I think pack mule is great early game till you're able to get those pocket mods.
Heh, Dire Wolves are a menace and you came out of your introduction to them better than I did, for sure. For your fighting position, maybe try removing the first row of hatches and putting railing blocks or some other see through block so you can see and take out spiders, crawlers or zombies that have lost their legs. Pretty sure it was a spider that caused the breach before you had to bail as it was banging on the hatch for a while without you being able to see it or shoot it. And additional blocks above the railing like a double pole placed sideways can help keep them from squeezing through when they pile up like they did as well but maintains visibility and firing zone. At the other end of your pathway, i had a similar problem with them getting on top somehow with a similar build, and placed some railings standing up on top at that end that stopped the spiders from hopping up there. Also, Pack Mule STILL isnt necessary, lol. You can double stack pocket mods(of different tiers/capacity) and there is also now a quad pocket mod that requires a legendary part or is part of some of the higher tier quest and challenge rewards. Although with Fergettin Elixir being fairly cheap now I dont think its such a faux pas to put points in early/midgame if you are already going down that tree a bit as you can reassign the points later when you have the mods or armor set(certain individual pieces improve encumbrance i think) to make it unnecessary.
There's a quad pocket mod and you can have multiple pocket mods in each piece of armor as long as they are for different amounts, like a triple and a double you can do but not 2 doubles.
You missed a couple of times because you flung your mouse in the direction of your hammer's swing as it swung, moving your crosshair off-target. I noticed you doing it with your pickaxe too.
Pack mule IS NOT necessary… I’m on day 73 and have not put a single point into PM. You can combine pocket mods. triples with doubles or quads with triples. Any combo. Just can’t put same type together in one piece… I believe I had backpack fully open by day 30
horde night problems: no fall back positions in base, tight hallway no chance for traps, no use of explosives, no gimmick to aliviate zombie pile ups so you can repair.
Pack mule IS NOT necessary… I’m on day 73 and have not put a single point into PM. You can combine pocket mods. triples with doubles or quads with triples. Any combo. Just can’t put same type together in one piece
Ok there is a ton of stuff I can comment on what you need to do. First , Get that base off the ground by 13 blocks. Quit using hatches. Use solid blocks on the bottom and double pole sideways on top, that way you can power swing and it covers the whole area. Use a single pole(skinny) shape for them to run to the melee point that way they will stumbled and fall off, creating a loop. Add Electric fence post across the area of the melee point. With all of that being said, I don't know if this is just a tryhard video for entertainment or you really haven't figured out a better way to do a base with all the base videos on UA-cam, Preferably Cautious Pancake and Jawoodle. Either way my advice is solid.
Ive watched thru almost all of your play throughs and it disappoints me you still havent learnt to bring materials to repair your hatches and blocks while fighting horde night :( Even though that was the very first comment/suggestion I left you on your very first 7D2D video
I mean repair the blocks as well. Also another tip - if you’re not able to get steel hatches, you can place 2 iron hatches facing opposite each other so that when you pop both up, each hatch door will touch each other forming 2 layers of iron hatch doors. Also to prevent zombies from squeezing through, you can place plate blocks on the underside of the top blocks on top of your hatches which the space too small for zombies to squeeze through
Oh also, sorry is this is a mansplaining moment. But the painting brush u found in ur undead legacy playthrough is also in vanilla. It works the exact same, you could paint up the horde base and main base. They do look a bit… ugly

Love your content brother, 7 Days to Die is such an underrated game !
electric Fences is a must have, it stuns zombies and slowthem down. In Hordenight, the Zombies attack the block with lowest durability to you.

You can put 2 pocket mods on each armour piece but they have to be different, for example a triple and a double or a quad and a single.
Ahhhhhh okay thank you
