    How safe is it for a foreigner to live in a city like this, Abuja specifically. And how expensive is it to wanna own, say, a two - or three bedroom condo. Kind reply please, thanks.

    • @uncovered7810
      @uncovered7810  2 місяці тому +8

      @@ebenezerso Abuja is deemed the safest city to live in Nigeria for everyone, including foreigners. This is literally where most of the diplomats in Nigeria live and work.
      “Expensive” is relative in my humble opinion; compared to other districts in Abuja, Maitama is one of the most expensive neighborhoods. But to a foreigner who earns more in foreign currency, what is considered expensive might just be affordable 🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @uncovered7810
      @uncovered7810  Місяць тому

      “Scavengers” can come from anywhere, and not just from the North. Every ethnic, tribal or racial group will always have criminal elements in them. That said, the FCT police is straining every nerve to nip the activities of miscreants in the board. Manholes are now covered with concrete rings rather than the metal panels that used to be the case. Thank you abundantly for watching 🙏

    For all its tarred roads and imposing mansions and tree lined streets, Maitama might have a problem with refuse/garbage collection!!
    By far too many houses have overflowing bins and piles of cutdown branches in front of the buildings!
    And the overall landscaping could be more intentional!
    The FCTA needs to up their game if they want Abuja to remain the jewel in the crown!

Even in the UK and the US, you have overflowing bins when not collected on time, or perhaps due to one reason or another. I live in the US. I know what am talking about. Your Nitpicking is foul and absurd. Stop disgracing us. Uhon nia?
      Do not use our beloved queen mask to be typing nonsense online. You should know better. That your profile image is sacred and it is devoid of any negativity towards our country. You shouldn't be using it, if you got nothing good to say about Nigeria. That mask do not represent negativity. You should remove it from your profile.

      @ Be quiet abeg !
      We all know that Nigeria suffers chronically from a lack of maintenance culture!!
      One look at our former capital tells everyone straight up!
      The only passable city in Nigeria to compete with the world is Abuja!!
      But if the FCTA take their eyes off the ball, Abuja will go the way of a great number of our cities and towns!
      To call attention to pure facts is not negative!
      It is not big shiny buildings that makes a city or a location developed, but the application of a system put in place to run it!

      Here we go again!!
      This is why i quarrel with Abuja vloggers!
      Because they sell the bogus narrative that politicians mostly own houses in Abuja!!
      Simpletons like Eastcoast will now regurgitate this flawed narrative and even have the audacity to be indignant!!
      The better truth is that most politicians prefer to build and live in their country homes in different parts of the country!
      Abuja and Nigeria have a well monied middle class who are into business first and foremost!!
      Even if politicians are in Abuja, how many are in office?
      Exactly how many government positions do people think exist at any one time of an administration?
      At a rough estimate, politicians and indeed civil servants in Abuja, can't be more than 50,000 people!
      So how does anyone arrogate over 1 million homes to government officials???
      Let the business class breathe and enjoy their wealth and status without us lumping them all with politicians!!
