Holy fuck I can't believe I missed this the first time. Not my fault, reading Uriangers dialogue without any previous exposure to that sort of prose is like getting psychic blasted until you gain an immunity.

I'm 95% convinced the cutscene plays out that way because any direct interactions between the player character and NPCs must be avoided in cutscenes because otherwise they would not be lalafell compatible.

I've done all the namazu beast tribe quests, but damn... it's been so long that I don't even remember any of that insanity. I wish they'd add those questlines to New Game+, so many of them would be worth replaying.
I played the game in JP until Stb where I changed it to english. I was NOT expecting to see Haurchefant in that cutscene, the line and voice did not help either 😂
I want to make something perfectly clear for any of our non-FFXIV players in the audience: All of these DO make sense in context and they are SIGNIFICANTLY FUNNIER when you know it. My advice? If ever you get a dialogue option that involves sassing Y'shtola, you NEED to pick it. I promise, you won't be disappointed.
Oh I love sassing Y'shotla. And how she sasses right back. One time she threatened to put me over her knee, I recall. Think it was during Shadowbringers
I just recently did the Namzu quests for the first time I lost my shit when 3:39 happened. I had seen that frame so many times it was as if I was finally seeing the Mona Lisa in person
Watching this made me realize how little time we got to spend with our scions and how much screen time the new followers took up. I loved all the little character moments with the scions in previous expacs. and I'm very sad we got so little of them this time around. :C

Man I think this is the video that did it, I have the motivation to get through the msq 💪💪 Halfway through Stormblood. Didn't like AAR but I got through it. Heavensward was pretty good with no small part of the dragons (I love dragons), and STB though better than AAR has still been difficult for me to get through I'll blame myself on that, it's hard for me to get engaged into things. But this video did it 👍
The funniest thing about Asahi and by extension Fandaniel is that they went out of their way to fuck around with the facial expressions and motions so much on him that they somehow distilled the essence of the most punchable guy ever. Its to the point that youll see an npc use the same face ingame and know something is off and then have the "oh dammit" moment once you figure it out.
Little, was my fave scene/story in that expac. 😂 also the beast tribe quest I levellled as quickly as I could because I enjoyed the story so much in same expac.

From Dragon Quest crossover limited time event, yeah. You are told you'll be rewarded with "Puff Puff" (Japanese slang for "motorboating"), which is a running gag in the DQ series. Thus the gaggle of pretty girls. But it almost never turns out to involve boobs.
I love the fact that the WoL gets more sarcastic as time goes. Especially after we deal with Emet in the first...as slowly we open more doors for more and more awkward phrases and sexually charged out of context lines from other characters XD

Basically, you're lead into believing that you're being blind folded and some busty girls will put your head in their cleavage, when in actuality it's two slime monsters (low level recurring enemies that are like water balloons with smiley faces on them) being held to either side of your head.
