To see Darjeeling in a new way, we went there during the monsoon season, from July to August. The crowd was smaller, roads were empty, hotel rates were low, taxi or cab charges were reasonable, and local cuisine was delicious. It was a totally distinct experience from anything else, I tried my best to capture all so you could see the beauty of Darjeeling during monsoon & also address all your enquiries on the weather, road conditions, lodging.

We experienced the Siliguri route intoxicating, aroma of tea gardens is still intact.
No vomiting.
Darjeeling area had landslide, we got stuck in hotel only for four days , candle light, no milk supply for kid , but amazing Maggie available anytime 😂

Yes if you have a passion for kanchenjunga sunrise, we skipped it because our hotel had a mountain view + we wanted to avoid the overcrowd in tiger hill

Yes,it will be cold during the evening hours...don't forget to take some warm clothes with you..even if you forget no worries ...warm clothes like shawls, sweaters and jackets are quite cost effective in Darjeeling so winter shopping is a must..

Rarely it happens..this monsoon there's a little rainfall in West Bengal..so don't worry about that.

Hi, You can travel Darjeeling anytime of the year... Monsoon is quite pleasant there..and don't worry about the safety...it's all safe..but still you can give a phone call to your booked hotel and confirm about the weather.

Darjeeling is dreamy during monsoon...People might scare you talking about landslides and heavy rainfall and all..but I would say don't think too much, focus on creating memories and you will undoubtedly have fun..❤️❤️

It would be safe time, don't worry.. just confirm with your hotel a couple of days before.
Just book a hotel and ask them to arrange pickup drop cabs. Once you reach, they would help you with a reliable local sightseeing arrangements.
Generally Darjeeling and mirik are safe during monsoons.

There are options ranging from low-budget homestays to larger hotels like Mayfair.Near Darjeeling Mall Road, you'll find countless hotels to choose from, making it easy to find something that fits your needs. The people in this small hill station are trustworthy, so you don't need to worry much. Just book a hotel and ask them to send a cab to your pick-up point. If they forget, there will be plenty of cabs available. Just check a couple of rates and book one. It's a hassle-free trip, perfect for a relaxed vacation. Don't worry it's absolutely safe ..baarish waisi nahi hoti jaise normal dusri jagah pe hoti hai..but warm clothes ache se pack karna na bhule...thand rehti hai shaam ko..baaki Baarish ki koi problem nahi hai.

Visiting Darjeeling during the monsoon can be an unique experience. There is no such thing that can stop you from watching Tiger Hill Sunrise..We visited Darjeeling last July 23rd...Just be prepared for occasional showers and enjoy the serene beauty!
