I like it! I'm the same - I want my R50 to be as performance-oriented as possible, but also a luxurious place to sit. I am going to steal your idea and do my interior pillars when I re-do my headliner again (a couple small sections lifted up - I will put sandbags on top of it next time while the glue cures). I've been wanting to remove my rear seatbelts because I have the rear seats removed (got a really nice up-to-the seats padded dog bed back there from a company in the UK), and will fill the seatbelt holes and then suede over them. Wasn't sure how I'd go about that, but now I do. Thanks!
this is exactly what I've had in my mind for the last 6 months of owning my Mini. It has the sunroof and white interior, it looks very dated inside. I prefer black interior. My TT had a really great black headliner and that's what I want. The sued looks very good on the pillars, takes away that cheap plastic feel inside. Very good job. I saw on another channel that is best to sand the old glue off the headliner before applying anything onto it.
Just got the head off my mini cycling we 1 piston is laying in the oil pan your build is extremely helpful as I want to beef up my lower end but on a budget do you have websites you recommend for parts
Hey bud, i mainly used oranjje performance for the engine parts, they tend to sell everything you’ll need, however i used 1320 mini for the forged con-rods, any engineer will be able to supply you the ARP shells and head bolts etc.. i’ve now done approx 1000 miles on the build and its been ace, runs lovely 👌🏻👌🏻
Good shout that mate… no idea why i didnt think of that 🤦🏻♂️ probably because a blk headliner was rare as horse shit 🤷🏼♂️🤣 just had a look and found some visors and handles 🤜🏼🤛🏻🤣
Nice build, what’s happening next though? It would be good to see some updates…. The r53 checkmate has a black roof liner and trim etc, If you haven’t already you should be able to get black sun visors etc.. The colour really suits Mini’s, I know it can be a bit of a marmite colour for some but over the last few years of seeing it around its really grown on me..
Hello, been following this build and looks amazing. I’m curious if any new updates coming soon?

How did you get the cage into the. Car? Through the rear Hatch or side door. I'm trying to figure it out..
Through the side door bro, but i had everything stripped out, used a ratchet strap to pull it together slightly which made it easier…
@@spenna1221 tight fit for sure but done it. Welding the base plates is a pain too.
Can somebody tell me the colorcode of the grey used on the car?
Do some more videos
I'm looking at wrapping my pillars! Are they hard to get off?
