No. Leaking oil filter housing gaskets can result in oil on the front of the engine by the pulleys and occasionally coolant and oil mixing since both pass through internally. Exhaust smoke is likely a result of failing turbo seals. Take it out in the day and look for a slightly blue hue to the mostly white smoke and smell it, its probably oil. Coolant would make a sweet smell.
@Jacob Hauenstein I just replaced the turbos, this problem seemed to have happened once I changed oil, (switch from liquimoly to rotella t6 5w40) idk yet tho
@@harbharb1293 They always smoke right after you change them until they get all the way up to temp, why did you switch? I have always used Liqui Moly and it's held up great, never any smoking.
@Jacob Hauenstein ohh does it? I feel like its only after a long drive, on cooldown idle, it'll have some smoke coming out the exhaust, im on full E too so there's good ammount of condensation. But this seems like some oil smoke in it. I just switched because I heard good things about t6 tbh but I've always ran liqui moly Maybe switching had a little effect from different oils.
nice demo man.
Thanks!
do u have to drain the oil?
Can you post a list of the part numbers for the gaskets and bolts please!
Go on FCP Euros website they have the kits specifically for each bmw.

Did you ever figure out if it did cause smoke? I believe I’m having the same issue but it does smoke on warm up, never after it’s hot.
