I remember sneaking in my room to listen to the tapes without my mum hearing, then later her questioning what an 11 year old is doing telling jokes in "that" accent
Brings back memories of my days in the Montague Arms, New Cross, London when I used to pass jokes I heard on Building Sites to Jimmy then by the time he worked his magic on them they sounded ten times better - Ah them were the days
This is the kind of comedian I love a PROPER REAL joke comedian a comedian who tells JOKES real jokes NOT just observations Comedians today like Michael McIntyre, Joe Lycett, John Richardson, Russell Howard, Micky Flanagan, Jack Whitehall & LOADS of others would NEVER tell these kind of jokes even if they were paid MILLIONS they'd say "no, no I'm telling them I don't wanna offend or upset anybody, those jokes aren't even jokes they're disgusting whoever wrote them should be in prison" & stuff like that I don't care if they're disgusting & offensive they're just ONE THING.............fuckin FUNNY cos that's what they're meant to be
been so long since i heard this guy!!! so may memories!!! does anyone here know which show i can see him perform the little red riding hood joke?? thanks!!
It is the same dialect linguistically: also in Cork, specifically Youghal. Almost no discernible difference, namely the rhotic /r/ consonant, the flat long /a/ vowel and even the same specific vocabulary. (The slave trade ran out of Bristol and Plymouth to the West Indies, and Cork was settled and owned by Sir Walter Raleigh, it's only 300 years ago so the dialect hasn't changed that much)
Hi Jimmy hope your fine the last time l saw you was at the Montague new Cross in the seventy fabulous night you haven't changed l haven't stop laughing thank you.
Absolutely hilarious! Now THIS is comedy. Great delivery, great timing, great gags. A masterclass in standup.

His West Indian accent sounds more West Country e.g. Somerset

@London Calling that's some interesting stuff. I'm from Plymouth, I do love the history of this city
Twice in the ‘80s he did not turn up to a full paid audience in Newmarket now he’s a has been...we all ignored him and watched other better comics. 🙄
Eh
Rip
Fairly shyte tbh
Different era. Show people in the 1970s a Charlie Chaplin film and
they'd say it was shyte
Each to their own, but I'm laughing out loud at just over a minute in!
What a load of s...
Not a patch on Bernard Manning.
Crap
Pathetic how northerners say this about every Southern comedian. Is it some sort of new fashionable thing to say? Nobody cares mate
This is a Bernard manning joke. Told fucking shit...
Horrible man
Nope.
Personal thing, of course but I didn't find any of his jokes funny.
I've had funnier piles.
not at all funny.aweful.
Pure Crap!!
Yes you are aren't you

Shiite!
wrong on so many levels
Mainly the "it's not funny" level
That's precisely why it's funny!
