In this video, my husband and I travel to South Korea for the first time, but instead of exploring the cities, we’re heading straight into the rural countryside. We’ll be living with a family of chestnut farmers. Far from the bustling capital, Seoul, this is a side of Korea few tourists see.

ABOUT ME:
In 2013, I started my solo travel journey, leaving Indonesia in 2016 to become a full-time traveller and UA-cam creator. My background in International Relations has fueled a profound interest in exploring different countries. My content focuses on exploring different cultures through the lens of a solo female traveller, aiming to capture real-life interactions and experiences.
My travels kicked off with a five-month trip across Asia, after which I moved to China in January 2017 to work as an English teacher-my first time living abroad. I left China in 2018 to fully commit to creating videos on UA-cam, where I share my travels and the cultures I encounter.
Living nomadically since 2016, I settled in England in early 2022 after marrying my British husband, David. Now based in the UK, I continue to travel and share my adventures on UA-cam.

as a K-drama enthusiast, watching this videos opens up new insights into the daily life of Koreans. apart from the hustling and bustling of Seoul, or even though some dramas depict rural atmospheres, almost all are set against the backdrop of coastal life and fishermen. so, experiencing a different perspective of village life in South Korea is very interesting and worth watching. and one thing, many people assume that Koreans, because they only have one ethnicity, tend to be closed off to other cultures, but it turns out they are very open and happy to invite foreigners to share experiences in rural areas. thanks Syifa, cant wait to watch more of your videos! 🤍

I have enjoyed your videos for a long time as they come to promise a peaceful slowing down and escape from a hurried work day. Please return to your method of showing longer views of each scene as the quick succession of 2 and 3 second bursts of multiple images prevents examining the many interesting details and renders the feeling to a commercial experience where the perhaps intended induced feeling of exciting fast paced action is less pleasant than a leisurely stroll in a new land. Really enjoyed the ferry rides in Scotland/Ireland. Best wishes and a belated congratulations on your marriage/wedding! : )
