You’re a stronger man than me Mr Stratton. I don’t know how your resisted the urge to throw in that one lick from “Isn’t She Lovely” at the end of the chorus.
Ok Jack. You just made me the happiest person on the planet. We discovered that my 7 month old daughter LOVES this song. She sat motionless looking at the video. I bought a piano a couple of years ago to learn how to play vulf songs, and now I dont have an excuse not to do it, I'll learn to play this, and I'll sing this to her until she looks at me the same way. THANK YOU.
My two year old also loves this song. After it ends he asks, “ again, please?” Then after 10 times I’m like okay can we play a different song? Hahaha I love this song so much

I love these tutorials because there's no mumbo-jumbo music theory and complex notation to follow along with. Just a straight-up "here are the chords and how to play them" tutorial that anyone can follow. Even spreads his fingers so we can see what keys to play. Thanks for the lesson and the grooves, man.
While true that you can follow along without any music theory knowledge; for those of us who do have it, we can see it's in Db and he's actually straight up saying, "one, minor two, one, minor two... four, six... over the six chord," etc.
thank you for this mr stratton I love you I hope the album becomes the number one album in the history of ever. i will make do with my ability to play your cool song now.
Ah yes, Comedy Tuts feat. The Strat: "You got a little grace note, so you can hit any note--" "That's not the same chord shape, I don't even know what they are, you just have to figure out what sounds right" "You know what, you can use the half-speed button on UA-cam" "I'm of the Irving Berlin school where I can't frickin' change keys"
Just saw Vulfpeck last night (phenomenal) and they did a rendition of this song. Jack started playing on the acoustic piano and the way they handle key change was flawless, but I had to laugh recalling this video and his admission about using transpose.
Yes you're amazing! (bow repeatedly.) Please come to Asheville NC I'll buy dinner! I can't be forced to watch live at Madison Square Gardens over and over, but i will if I have to.
@@poppop256luv6 yes thank you… finally someone understands…or I’m even cool with “The Salvage Station”… or Thomas Wolf Auditorium. I would even see them at the Biltmore Estate….lol

It's called a stomp box. Virtually any analog stomp box will give you that sound but the particular one he's using is called the MPDS1 by Mainl Percussion

I always hum the lick along anyways lol

My four and two year-old kids love it too! They call it the 'silly man song'. It's an instant classic!
The keyboard is a "Crumar Mojo Suitcase Double Manual Organ" for those interested. Thanks for making music Vulf!
Nice to see a new original song, keep on writing Jack 👍👍👍
Bach would have pressed the Transpose key if he had one.
best comment
He had one, it was integrated in his mind
*batch
@@ukatofarticus9046 , that's what he said lol
Safe to say the guy who wrote the wtc was pretty comfortable playing in all keys.
When is vulfrecords making a full length klezmer album?
He called it 3 months ago
There's something magical about this melody. Feels like home
With great songs like this, you can press the transpose key anytime you like!
jack loves his circles and triangles.. he’s a shapes guy
To be fair those are the best shapes
People have given me a lot of…….encouragement
Wow jack. I applaud you for being the big man and admitting that you used the transpose button. I respect that.

This is really fun to watch. Wish I had the same musical abilities on display here, its quite magical.

Man I need to say how awesome you are!! Truly! King! Boss! Not in a hierarchical way just as a way of expressing superlative! Love from Sweden!
Who else cares enough to do this!?!? Stratton is the GOAT.
This is the coolest video. Please do more of these.
Jack's scats sound like my flatmate ODing on GHB
I was looking for a good rhodes for the past hour just to play along. Love it!
Such a great tune.
I just grooved my baby to sleep, bouncing to this song. Cheers! 💤
Please, a piano tutorial of "Alone again, naturally", pleeeeeeease! :)
please!
A Crumar! Love their sounds
Does this crumar have additional sounds? Like the Hammond SK series?
thank you for this mr stratton I love you I hope the album becomes the number one album in the history of ever. i will make do with my ability to play your cool song now.
What kind of wizardry is this - playing an organ and hearing a rhodes piano!?!! 🪄✨ …I know it‘s Midi, but with an organ? Sick! 8-)
you love to see it back up
Yoooo so glad Jake Sherman is getting a shout out🔥
Love the MJ reference - classic three part!!
It takes a big man to admit that.
The og vulf chord progression
To answer the question: I love you a lot Vulfmon
I love the song, I'll try that. Thank you Jack!
2:09 "classic woody goss line."
Db has always been my blue note!
It's sick how the verse chords are just the vulf theme subtly slowed down
Jack is either lazy, a genius, or a lazy genius

Vielen Dank Herr von Stratton!
World record for best piano lesson, even if it's a bit above my capabilities.
Jack is back!!!! thank you so much!!!!!!
You are the man. God damn I was hoping for this
I don't play piano at all and have no business wanting to buy an organ but goddamn this thing looks fun
gotta love that animal spirits progression in the first 2 bars
Loved how cheery this tune is, so glad to see a tutorial out already...

absolutely learning this on my 79' rhodes
3:57 just casually dropping the Free Willy theme
If only the metaverse was going to be this sweet 😂
I really want to hear your next song: I'm a shapes guy
you're the best. I've been waiting secretly for this tutorial
Now I too want to be a shapes guy. Thanks!
It's basically just a capo on the first fret in piano version
I feel like the ends of these phrases DESPERATELY need the "Isn't She Lovely" riff...
I love you Jack! Thanks for the tutorial! It had been a while :D
I, too, am a shapes guy. Thats why I stick to fretted instruments lol. slide it up or down the neck, boom transposed.
Db is the Vulfpeck key.
Awesome, Jack! -- thank you for the tutorial video accompanying the release. Such a great idea to help your music take off. Amazing.
3:57 love the chord progression reference to Michael Jackson’s Will You Be There
23:37 Scarbee! Closest thing to the metaverse yet.
FALEI OU NÃO FALEI, gurizada?!

I knew that you pressed the transpose key by the way you moved your hands in the video

This has been super helpful, but I'm having a hard time with the intro! Anybody got some advice?
I was thinking hey that organ doesn't have a Rhodes sound? Then he said it was Scarbee.
This is great! Do you also have chords/tutorial on your recent take on alone again?
