Hello from Buffalo NY. Been watching for a couple weeks now. GREAT coverage you are giving the world to watch. Started watching because Sal recommended your channel. Gotta applaud EVERYONE that's involved in this MASSIVE operation. it Blows my mind to think about all the planning and logistics it takes to get a job like this done. This 'IS' America at its BEST.... No matter what , (good, bad, big, or small)...... We CAN & WILL get the job done. God Bless EVERYONE that's involved in this operation. Keep up the GREAT work.. THANK YOU, and Be Safe.
I too watch every morning to see the news of the ship’s progress in morning and evening ! To bring me up to date as to see the progress of the recovery of the ships movement ! Please let us know when they plan to move the ship !
I thank you for your time and I moved from Md years ago. My husband traveled the bridge every day. It really hit home and there is an empty spot for the men that lost their lives. I live in Georgia and wish there was some way l could help!God bless the family’s that lost their love ones. If it’s someway I can make a difference for the family’s,please let me know. Thanks Sandy from Georgia.
The workers are doing a fine job with zero injuries. As far as containers, there still hazemat materials on the starboard side and under the steel sticking up.
I saw that they didn't put charges on that steel Because of those hazmat materials/containers. I wish I could remember where I saw that..but they are having to remove that steel with as little damage to those containers as possible.
I can’t believe there’s only one 1000 tonne crane available and it has to do the main straight lifting and ‘claw’ work. Where are all the other major cranes up to 20,000 tonne lifting capacity for the worlds most important salvage job?
There is much larger, more capable equipment in Singapore, and elsewhere in Asia, that could likely have that mess cleaned up in a week or two. Jones act certainly prevents that.
I thought the Jones act only affected the transport of goods. There are several 10,000t plus capacity floating cranes in Europe. Why isn’t this part of the discussion?
When are they are they planing to move the ship ? Do they have a plane for a time to move the ship out to a docking area so they can remove all the Debre In the channel area ? Or are they waiting for a opening in tide or debre to clear the ship of material on it ?
Just got through talking to a friend in california. She had no idea that there was Abridge collaps. I send her your information so she can find It herself
Good morning Captain Andy! I enjoy your daily films. Great clarity and it’s nice to hear what’s happening. Any idea when the Dali is gonna start moving?
Servant16731 Andy for your info the ship has 10 tons of water pumped in the bow to keep it in the mud and yes there is a lot of debris weight on the bow also but when she ready to move they will pump out the bow and it will rise./
“Let’s do a grab and see what we get??” Well that’s about where we are folks! Thanks for stopping by and we appreciate your support. Next big move: Dragging this hunk of busted up ship over to Seagirt so life can proceed,,,
Battery gets low which makes the headroom of the audio get lower so it becomes easier to exceed the headroom of the audio which causes clipping distortion. Clipping distortion may cause a dynamic range limiter to dip your audio level during the clipping event.
like u said not a lot going on,why is it that the steel upright on the bow has not been removed ,surely that would have been the first lift to do, so 3hrs of nothing i am sorry to say
Doing what ? Driving the tugs around ? They should have stayed with the ship until the ship cleared the bridge ! In case of a problem that was caused by loss of engine power as it happened a mile or so more would have prevented the crash ! They should make it a law that the ships that size should be escorted out of the bay and be out in ocean waters ! The ship wasn’t clear of the bridge supports !
Are they planning to open any of the containers ? Or just shipping them out to there destination marked on them when they first saw the cars sticking out of one or two of the containers that were broken open ! Some word was that the cars were stolen and were headed over seas as stolen cars from the Baltimore area ? They had license plates on them checking to see if the cars were stolen !
🤣😂🤣😂 if they started the day of the wreck pulling of containers with cranes and chains putting them on a barge and then pushing it to the port to unload they would still not have them all off 🤣😂🤣😂 A good Port Crane Operator (specially equipped with a spreader bar for picking up containers) does about 25-30 continents an hour, there’s 4700 +/- containers on the ship

Can we give it up for all the tug boat captains out there working hard!
Hi Andy. you becoming quite a celebrity in uk as many of us are following your excellent films. caroline
Yes indeed.
Many thanks from the UK.
Also watching in the best part of the UK 🏴🤓
Servant16731 the reason the DALI is keeping the bow buried in the mud is to keep the ship from moving
Thank you Captain Andy…..love your videos ! I’m glued to my tv…..
Wow!! Thanks!!!
Thanks for another update. Excellent view of claw 👍🏻! Great work as always 👍🏻🫶🏻

Beautiful day. Bit windy. Thanks again ❤
You’re welcome 😊

Kept away by the Jones Act
There is much larger, more capable equipment in Singapore, and elsewhere in Asia, that could likely have that mess cleaned up in a week or two.
Jones act certainly prevents that.
I thought the Jones act only affected the transport of goods. There are several 10,000t plus capacity floating cranes in Europe. Why isn’t this part of the discussion?
Thank you for everything

Good evening sir from the uk
Hello there!
Gives the term "Glacial Pace" a whole new meaning.
Andy I would love if you. Did a short video on your equipment it is amazing would love to know how it works
Just got through talking to a friend in california. She had no idea that there was Abridge collaps. I send her your information so she can find It herself
Share away!!!
Audio is great in NC ,the radio traffic is breaking up.
Good morning Captain Andy! I enjoy your daily films. Great clarity and it’s nice to hear what’s happening. Any idea when the Dali is gonna start moving?
Haven't heard a peep!
What radio frequency are you using
amazing views
That yellow excavator appears to be moving steel beams and other items from point A to point B
Servant16731 Andy for your info the ship has 10 tons of water pumped in the bow to keep it in the mud and yes there is a lot of debris weight on the bow also but when she ready to move they will pump out the bow and it will rise./
Some great video form that distame awesome
Thanks 👍
Hi Andy would you know how they plan to remove that large section near the ship ?
Wht radio channel they use
Anyone else have a different set up today? the Chat/comments are "below the live picture instead of beside it?
It's not a live chat anymore. Went off live @3pm Baltimore time
4 K video last night was well done!
5:00 (To the voices of the aliens in "Toy Story":) The claw!!
'Who's in charge here?" "The CLAW" "The claw decides who will go and who will stay!" :)
“Let’s do a grab and see what we get??” Well that’s about where we are folks! Thanks for stopping by and we appreciate your support. Next big move: Dragging this hunk of busted up ship over to Seagirt so life can proceed,,,
From what I've heard since the livestream ended-----the claw came up with a bigun.
The Audio sounds good on my end.
What is that beside the claw???
That ship sitting there really slows everything down, hopefully they can get it out of there pretty soon
Why propulsion is on same circuits as rest of vessel looks like a bad string of Christmas tree lights
Battery gets low which makes the headroom of the audio get lower so it becomes easier to exceed the headroom of the audio which causes clipping distortion. Clipping distortion may cause a dynamic range limiter to dip your audio level during the clipping event.
I don't monitor the audio. Too much latency and the crew lets me know pretty quickly when the wheels come off
I live on the west coast of the U.S. and I am not having any trouble hearing you.
Thanks. Some were having trouble
like u said not a lot going on,why is it that the steel upright on the bow has not been removed ,surely that would have been the first lift to do, so 3hrs of nothing i am sorry to say
What is the big round thing at the barge with the bumpers on it?
I think what you are seeing is a dolphin
How much can the Wiklikes pickup,It looks like it would pickup at least half of what's out of the water?
533 tons
I've been watching since the bridge collapse. I see another of Crain booms sitting idle just wondering why .
Is the Dali still aground or did she float when the weight was lifted?
Doing what ? Driving the tugs around ? They should have stayed with the ship until the ship cleared the bridge ! In case of a problem that was caused by loss of engine power as it happened a mile or so more would have prevented the crash ! They should make it a law that the ships that size should be escorted out of the bay and be out in ocean waters ! The ship wasn’t clear of the bridge supports !
You would think at least one crane would have a magnet on it. Seems like it would be quicker..
Hi Andy and crew
Hello!
I may be missing something, but LiveChat seems to be unavailable or disabled.
not live anymore
it is over , Finished , No More chat . No Mas
Are they planning to open any of the containers ? What are they talking about when they talk about spuds??
I see the channel, the round thing isn't there now, it was big enough to set the claw on,it had tires around it I thing!
That may be a dolphin. Not sure what you are seeing.
It was there at the start before the cranes started moving?
Wonder if this “claw” could have lifted that Russian sub worked on by the Glomar Explorer?
These barges and cranes are sure in tight spaces.
What is the round thing floating by the claw?
Temporary Channel Bouy
Why did the ship change coarse to the starboard. It was a big change of coarse. Not explained in the NTSB report.
It lost electrical power and there was a fuel pressure problem too. The wind and tide just took over.
this is like watching paint dry not much debrie being removed
Why have they not used the claw to remove debris from the bow of the ship is that to hard
Probably cause too much damage to the ship
Great video??. I leaned a lot!
Glad it was helpful!
Could they use the smaller cranes to remove cargo containers ? They will need to do that to lighten it anyway.
Is the weeks working on the same piece as cheeze.we see his lines moving
No.
How soon to move the Dalia an does anybody know what happened that caused this.
TX news air video of OIL
I've seen that same claw used on the Weeks 533
Yes I have too!
Bridge has been closed in Galveston
Yikes
4hours ?
Theres no way they will move that ship this weekend with that many cranes they should have cleared that deck by now
🤣😂🤣😂 if they started the day of the wreck pulling of containers with cranes and chains putting them on a barge and then pushing it to the port to unload they would still not have them all off 🤣😂🤣😂 A good Port Crane Operator (specially equipped with a spreader bar for picking up containers) does about 25-30 continents an hour, there’s 4700 +/- containers on the ship
Watching from the UK a great site BUT please don't over talk so much when the VHF radio communication is talking 😊
Noted!
why they dont load down the containers
Why does the "claw" move so slow?
Nearly four hours and the only way it’s live is sea birds flying about I’d sack the lot and get some workers in
Its like watching paint dry
I bet the crane hire guys are rubbing their hands take it steady lads we’re making a fortune here
they might have divers in water to pin point where to drop it
The armchair minions never end.you have to go slow and safe
The sun is an M class star so makes sense. Red dying star
and 17 minutes after the live Ole Gus pulls a bunch out of the water. Today was not our day
Ahhhhhhh. Missed it!
@@MinorcanMullet ahh well 🤷🏻♀️ whatcha gonna do lol. You have the best live out there. I'm sure Chessie will be picking up more stuff for us to see
The shear looks like a lobster claw.😅
Why so slow with the crane
Easy and steady wins the day
Sure takes a long time to lower the claw
well looks like 4 hrs of nothing getting dun to me, the Crain companies are making a killing on this one.
Big section being put on barge
THE ONLY THING GOING ON HEAR IS THE EVER RISING COSTS
I here ya.
Here's a crazy idea. Send the claw operator a Go-pro to the claw
Can't see 1' in this water. Be a brown screen.
well its not a hive of activity is it all them cranes just sitting there,
I see a bunch of nothing happening.
Union milking this one for every penny.
Distractions from other things
Too lift that much weight that crane most be revved up about ten times or more.
It feels like three days of watching paint drying. Sorry, just saying.
Check out the videos posted that are sped up.
