Is the APC BVX1200LI-MS AND BX1100LI-MS USER replaceable? I mean like can you unscrew it to replace batteries. I'm thinking of buying one but I want to be sure if it's possible to replace batteries myself ONCE warranty expires.
I have this exact unit. It just died this morning, just out of warranty. Turned it off to work on the computer it protects, and now it won't turn on. Battery is at 27 volts. Breaker didn't trip, everything looks fine. BTW I'm an electrical engineer and this isn't my first rodeo. APC website was useless. Can you help me out ? Second APC unit I've ever owned, second time this has happened. Now I can't power my server until I get a replacement... And I guarantee you I'm not buying a third APC. Products shouldn't die like this, with no warning, no apparent problem, and one month out of warranty. *Very angry.*
@@jaysagrayum7448 nice of you, but don't bother. Since the incident, I've tried turning the unit back on every day, without success. Yesterday, I decided to do something dumb and pressed all three buttons at once... and it started. Except it also started beeping (but not in an "alert, pay attention" kind of way. Zero alert recorded in the unit. Pressed the speaker button for a couple seconds to silence it. It appears to work but I don't trust it anymore. I've got an Eaton 1.5 KVA on the way, a lot more expensive but at least it comes with a 3 year warranty and it's from a brand that even makes its own power electronics components. So there's a better chance it'll last longer. Understand : I'm OK with electronics dying. It happens. What I'm not OK with is electronics in mission-critical hardware failing silently and with no way to diagnose the issue.

You can still pit the battery the wrong way, I think I just fried mine with does not have any stikers, I put it wrong and naw they dont charge, I will have to buy a new one

Please refer to page 2 of the attached user guide. The batteries are not user replaceable.
