My bx750mi battery needs replacing, glad I found this. Do you need to leave any time for the UPS to be disconnected before replacing the battery or will just disconnecting the battery plug on the back be enough?

you can change the battery as soon as the wires are disconnected

is that a smart ups? chek the exact model, i think it uses Cartridge VRLA battery

I am not author of the video but
I'd recommend checking datasheet or user guide for your UPS (should be available on official website). There should be section about the battery, you are interested in voltage and capacity. Then it is quite easy to find battery by googling "12v 9ah battery" (numbers here just an example)

Il mio APC UPS 1200va è rimasto scollegato dalla rete elettrica per due giorni. Quando ho inserito la spina ed ho provato ad accendere il dispositivo ha emesso un suono lungo e costante e i led non si sono accesi. Suppongo si sia scaricata la batteria. L'ho comprato 3 anni fa ma lo accendo (dal tasto centrale frontale) solo all'occorrenza per via delle luci verdi che danno fastidio. Adesso l'ho attaccato alla rete elettrica, togliendo tutti i dispositivi ad esso collegati, ma se provo ad attaccare il connettore della batteria (quello arancione che si trova dietro) ricomincia nuovamente a suonare. é possibile che si sia rovinata la batteria?
