The seal program is great for the navy, when someone joins, they either get a SEAL or a highly motivated paint chipper.

Hi, I’m a 22 year old woman and I’m training to become a U.S. Navy SEAL. I’m a civilian and I want to go enlisted.
What advice would you give for women that want to be SEALs? If you had to go to BUD/S again, how would you prepare differently? What books or workout programs would you recommend?
How does the SEAL community feel about women joining them? Do you think women should be allowed to become Navy SEALs?
Most female SEAL candidates struggle with carrying the boats and logs, doing pull ups, having grip strength and completing the “Dirty Name” on the obstacle course.

I’ve study hard and workout because I wanted to be prepared. But sometimes fate just snatches it because they did a color blind test and turns out I was partially color blind which means I couldn’t join. Ever since I get that news about my condition I was just sad because it’s something I’ve always looked up too because I wanted to reach higher. Till this day I still haven’t lost that warrior spirit in me but sucks that something like that can just crush your dream.

Always been a dream of mine to be in either a spec ops unit or special forces, don’t get me wrong Green Berets, 75 Ranger Regiment, MARSOC Raiders, are all badasses but there’s just something about the Navy Seals that make them seem more elite. Maybe it’s because of their speciality in underwater ops and their selection process having the highest wash out rate.

    • @nunyabiz7021

What about Delta, PJ's or CCT's? I've read about all of them having high, if not higher than SEAL washout rates and you do realize that other spec ops unit's are trained for maritime ops also, right? And on a personal note, I remember the phrase "silent professional" used to mean something, but too many current or former SEALS have traded their personal honor and integrity for a little fame and/or fortune, to a higher degree than others in spec ops.

When you fire a rifle, you hear the mechanical sound of the weapon operating , the sound of the hot gases leaving the barrel, and the sound of the bullet breaking the sound barrier. The sound you heard was a recording of the bullet breaking three sound barrier, without the gases leaving the barrel (becuase a suppressor is being used).

BucketList Brian No dude, that M110 has a sound effect added to it. It’s like the Navy used a Hollywood “silencer” sound effect for it

@@Justin_GFM that sound was definitely not recorded with a good mic, but that to me sounded like a suppressed round recorded from a short distance away and off to the side, rather than under or im front of the direction of travel. And it sounds how it would if it was recorded with lower grade recording equipment
