But you can disguise, which is actually realistic. You can show cover 2, and then roll to three post snap. So, there will be some things you can do to counter. I hope it’s more ways to play and win. This everybody runs like 2-3 formations a year, both on offense and defense, is not football anyways.
Yes, beautiful isn't it. Removing Base Align was one of the things that kept Madden from being realistic.

Getting rid of Base Align is the best decision in years. They replaced it with Coverage Disguises which is realistic. Base Align was one of those things that was a Madden thing and not a Football thing.

how u explained the abilities being a possibility instead of guaranteed is tuff bc to think about it this is COLLEGE and most college players are not as polished as a NFL
I think the base align thing could’ve been in college, I think if they would’ve adjusted it to where the safeties stay in a 2 or 1 high shell the would work because in real life people roll coverage all the time but in video games the only way out safeties can roll coverage is from base alignment

@@Crazyhigh30-xn4ko well yea. And no. The meta takes advantage of the best spacing and routes in the game. They’re the same route guys pick for coach suggestions but it’s for better formations. The best players know how to mix up the plays
College football sounds terrible they way you're explaining it. Rng based abilities so someone might have their abilities work 50% and yours 10% instead of madden where its consistent and no base align. Man i had high hopes for it already dont like it
You're over exagerating lol something you're neglecting is coverage shells which allows a lot more disguise capabilities. In terms of the ability system we'll have to wait and see... ultimately seems like they just made it so scheme matters more than previous years
Base Align is not Football. Removing it was needed to foster realism. Instead they replaced it with Coverage Shell Disguises.
@MF_DOOMer gonna be way easier to run now and do speed options because of it but I'm cool with that might even start doing that stuff myself

In real life players don't consistently give their ability all the time. it kinda balances out OP players which is nice
