With any open-ended RPGs but specifically the Xenoblade series, I spend a lot of the time just wandering and filling out the whole map. And I avoided using the fast travel for as long as I could. Nice review. Finally 😎. This game definitely lived up to the expectations and maybe succeeded them. Played on Hard the whole time, and done pretty much everything (NG+) except craft the strongest gems. My biggest issue with it, gameplay wise is how resistant enemies can be to debuffs. That aside, 3 has become my favorite out the Xeno games currently on the Switch. Looking forward to the DLC
It's so great to see Nintendo foster Monolith Soft's creativity and talent. Monolith has had such a rough road with publishes in the past, now they get to finally make these amazing games with great support and backing from Nintendo, and it's paid off for both of companies, as well as us who get to enjoy masterpieces like Xenoblade 3.
Masterpiece. Simply masterpiece. I really hope there is an epilogue, I love this game so much, I want to know what's happened after, I want them to meet again.
I love this game. My first playthrough of the main story is an experience I will never forget. This is by far the best story out of the whole Xeno franchise for me. The world, characters, monster designs, and addicting combat really shines from beginning to end. And yes, the music is complete banger, " A step away" track hits so hard, definitely Mitsuda's best. Also the side quests in this game is the best out of any JRPG I played. The characters involvement and surprising lore build is detailed in each side quest. Great video OJ! You hit every point perfectly. Awesome Review 👍🔥
Had switch since launch just got the Zelda OLED. Wanted to play this game forever always saw it at the store. Now finding the definitive edition cartridge seems impossible. Won't give up. Keep up the amazing videos bro love the content and honest feedback.
Playing after 200 hours really makes you feel like this game was something amazing it was so good and continues to be good i have splatoon 3 and havent even played it yet because xbc3 has occupied my time since its release just so good best characters ever and yes sooooo much fuuuun
It definitely was man what a game finally finished it last week that ending though no spoilers because some players are still playing this so I don't want to ruin it for them but man this is definitely my GOTY the story the music the combat everything in this game is amazing still playing it with post game about 230+ hours in and probably will not stop lol love this game ❤
I hit 200 hours on mine. I did everything I could do and now i'm just waiting on the DLC drops. I love the game. It's by far my favourite in years, but having said that, I wouldn't give it a 10/10. There are some awkward storytelling problems and scenes that are there just to info-drop and teach the player that don't particularly seamlessly fit, and awkward QoL issues that are passable. Not a perfect game. 9/10, definite recommend, definitely something I've been obsessing over to friends. Definitely something I push on everyone who's willing to listen to me.
I got to a part where you meet this Nopon called Repapa that's trying to complete Dorrick. I completed the quest "A big friendly friend" then he issued 10 phases in which of course the player must collect the necessary materials to complete the guardian mechon. I did some digging and realized once you finish it, you have to fight it as a boss that's like level 70; and once you beat it, you're not necessarily rewarded with anything. Have you completed this quest? Honestly what is the point?
Best RPG I've played since FF3 or FF7.... I'm old so.... this game franchise captured my attention starting with definitive edition, on to 2 and then this MASTERPIECE! I couldn't agree more, the best hands down! GOAT? Minus nostalgia, YES
Just finished it the other day at about 100 hours. The ending wasn’t exactly what I was hoping for, but maybe that was the point. I as the player wanted what N wanted, which makes Noah’s decision so commendable. Hopefully we’ll see an epilogue DLC.
I have like 150 hours in the game and I can say that is one of my favortie games of all time, the best Xenoblade of the series and my second favorite game of all time with chances of being number 1 but botw is there, just considering puttin this game above of botw really shocks me beacus it never happened with the other Xenoblades, I just love ths game
This is a game, where it hits the ground running, and damn near never let's you go until the credits. Regardless of whether or not you do side content (which, honestly, you SHOULD), you are constantly being given situations that make you ask questions about the world of Aionios. Even you think you're starting to figure it out, you get new information that throws a wrench into that. The combat is some of the most fun I've had in an RPG in a while; it's a wonderful mix of 2 different Xenoblade games, yet still having its own flavour to let you know it's its own thing. The fact that I'm STILL not bored with it after all I've played is a testament to that fact. I haven't come to a complete verdict just yet (waiting for the story dlc before I get to that), but this is definitely my game of the year, full stop.
@@NuiYabuko an accurate take based on how I feel about the game as well. Different people’s opinions may vary of course, but what is said should connect well with most.
Although I don't agree with everything, mostly the item management being streamlined so much - the equipment ins handled horribly in my opinion, having to search for every piece of equipment again after a class change by scrolling through a list with only the name but not the effect of a few being shown made me spend an exhausting amount of time in the menu - I still agree that this game is phenomenal and it's fighting Xenoblade 1 for the title of my all-time favourite game.
I've read several standard XC3 reviews agreeing to the greatness of this game; I was already hyped for it. But this video and the comments - wow! - I'm more eager than ever to sink into this game. I've only played XCX on Wii U for @40 hours (love the exploration, environs, and sci-fi, but never fully grasped battle mechanics despite wanting to; I admit to mostly just spamming the arts). I plan my first-time play-through of XC:DE early next year and then, finally, XC3!
Ikr I might have to when I'm done completing everything on my current file I'm about 230+ hours in after beating the game and still finding side quest lol and still leveling up classes and almost have all the colony's at 5 stars man this game never stops lol 😂 and there's more stuff coming later on DLC this game just does everything amazing the story the music the combat everything in this game is amazing it's definitely my GOTY such an amazing game 10/10 recommend to everyone who hasn't played a Xenoblade game but I would consider playing the other 2 even though there's nothing wrong playing this one
If i were to fully explain why this game is great I would would be writing paragraphs. everything in this game when it comes to the character designs and individual personalities with their own quirks, the music, the absolutely beautiful and original story that's unlike any other even comparing to actual movies and the insane amount of game mechanics that are laid out to where you learn easily over time. I can go on and on but the biggest thing that surprised me is how this game psychology broke me. I'm not the crying type but damn this game made me cry and no movie or game has ever done this
Bought it day 1, firs xenoblade game and really great. Love the visuals, combat, that boss music and hero quests ect The tone of the beginning peaked my interest and never became corny or whatever (seeing clips of x 2 turned me off of series, xenoblade X got ne interested because mechs n looked like ff15) 89 hours in and just finished the "DJ"fight. Love this game Edit: And love the voice acting and accents, quality voices in great scenes
I was in CEX two days ago and they had around 15 copies of pre owned xenoblade 3 two months after release that is not a positive sign so I'm going to wait until more people have reviewed it
“Monolith, what do you have to say about Xenoblade 3 that sums up what you have accomplished with it?” *THIS IS THE CULMINATION OF YEARS OF TRAINING!!*
👍 The Best on Switch and the most beautiful, miracle of visual quality on Nintendo Switch Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and excellent camera customization on ZL+Rstick (L2+Ranalog) as all serious games should have
I have also played 150+ hours. I have 2/4 classes left Troubador Martial Artist Machine Assassin and *spoiler Royal Summoner.* I have 4 super bosses I beat the Nyzant and like 10 more ascension quests left. I beat it on the 29th at like 10 11 at night at level 95.
tbh the gaming aspects (battle system, customization options, classes, items, exploration etc.) didn't suit me at all, but damn was the story nice. Apart from the assasination scene I enjoyed all of it and there is so much great symbolism all over the plot with so many important questions and deep topics. One of the best stories I've ever seen in a game.
I may pick this up. Was going to get Pokémon Violet but refuse to get scammed and need to vote with my wallet so maybe I will use my money on this instead.
Finally beat it after getting hero and every doing every ascension quest and I can safely say I love it. It's tied as my favorite JRPG on Switch, tied with Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I put 155 hours into this game and man I loved it. I do think I still have 2 as my favorite story and I think 2 still has the best antagonists in the series but 3 is easily my game of the year.
I dont have many time to play . But there are games that i will play fully. The last game was persona 5 . And it took me almost 2 years to complete evrything worth my time. And xenoblade 3 i also will complete. Now im 60+ hours into the game chapter 6. This game is worth to play it.

I did 120 hours and did a ton. It's a great game and was my favorite of the Xenoblade games. Can't wait for the expansion.
I never spent 170 hours still not finished and enjoying it so much, thank you for creating this content because this represents what I feel too ✨
Thinking about Miss Clicks comments on Saturday lol
Love the game, but Splatoon 3 came out so I am still in the final chapter drowning in side quests (because they are all worth seeking out and doing).
This game is amazing a must play for any RPG fan!
Absolutely amazing game! Finished it yesterday at a little over 130 hrs!
I have been playing video games for 20 years but this is the only game I 100% and still want more
I did 130 hours. Really really amazing game. My all time favourite
This is both a very well done review and an accurate one, reflecting many of my own thoughts on the game. Nice job, OJ.
Accurate?
@@NuiYabuko an accurate take based on how I feel about the game as well. Different people’s opinions may vary of course, but what is said should connect well with most.
@@PaulGaleNetwork That isn't what accurate means though.
@@NuiYabuko Accurate is subjective in nature no need to discuss that.
O.P. feels the same as O.J. that´s great no need to spoil that vibe.
@@cactusman07pim Accurate implies objectivity to me, like there's no point debating it, like "an accurate description".
XC2 had lot better filter options. You can get class related accessories on top, but why can't I filter by HP Up or Debuff Resist etc.?
105 hours in. I'm excited for the rest of the DLC to come out so I can jump back in
so good, definetly going to buy this now!
Just started playing it and i am hooked!! I cant wait to get further in the story!! Great vid bro 👍🏼👍🏼
How was it, did it exceed expectations?
Man you got me reeeeeally wanting to start that NG+ run now lol
I'm not the crying type but damn this game made me cry and no movie or game has ever done this
Love the game so far, just wish the game was better graphically.
Lmfao I chuckled every time an enemy was sent flipping in place 🤣🤣
Bought it day 1, firs xenoblade game and really great. Love the visuals, combat, that boss music and hero quests ect The tone of the beginning peaked my interest and never became corny or whatever (seeing clips of x 2 turned me off of series, xenoblade X got ne interested because mechs n looked like ff15)
89 hours in and just finished the "DJ"fight. Love this game
Edit: And love the voice acting and accents, quality voices in great scenes
Spent 272hrs to complete everything I see in the game. And still counting in new game+. Truly a masterpiece and my favorite game!
Art beats 4K60 any day of the week 💟
I was in CEX two days ago and they had around 15 copies of pre owned xenoblade 3 two months after release that is not a positive sign so I'm going to wait until more people have reviewed it
I hope the story expansion isn't a prequel.
I do. Z has some serious problems that need fixed.
“Monolith, what do you have to say about Xenoblade 3 that sums up what you have accomplished with it?”
*THIS IS THE CULMINATION OF YEARS OF TRAINING!!*
Culmination of years of training that's then thrown out the window.
@@NuiYabuko I’ll have to get back to you when I finish the game lol I’m only in chapter 5 still
👍 The Best on Switch and the most beautiful, miracle of visual quality on Nintendo Switch Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and excellent camera customization on ZL+Rstick (L2+Ranalog) as all serious games should have
I have also played 150+ hours.
I fell in love with this game…I played three first, should I play 1 or 2 next? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Xenoblade 3 gives me everything I wanted and didn’t get from Xenoblade 2.
Picking up Friday on Amazon very hyped loved the first two.
No- I’m gonna say with best antagonists, that goes to 1.
300 hours. Trying to get 5 star colony affinity.
Glad it was a GOAT game for you.💯❤🎮
Came back to watch this! Glad this game is getting its much-deserved recognition.
170 hours so far and Best game and rpg of all time this should’ve won GOY last year. Not that zelda garbage
Zelda wasn’t even nominated last year. What are you yapping about?
Finished game last night at 36hours, was okay, but chonicles X is still the best of the series and needs a port to switch.
The authentic Xenoblade Chronicles 3 review is upon us. MonolithSoft has outdone themselves with the viability of each class.
Authentic? lol
I dont have many time to play . But there are games that i will play fully. The last game was persona 5 . And it took me almost 2 years to complete evrything worth my time. And xenoblade 3 i also will complete. Now im 60+ hours into the game chapter 6. This game is worth to play it.
I’m waiting for the game to go on sale never gotten into this series but man you make me want to pull the trigger
I purchased a gen 1 Nintendo switch when it came out , just because of breath of the wild since I have other consoles and play on pc...unfortunately my switch got stolen but I ended up buying another one just for this game 😍
If I understand this correctly. To get everything out of the story I would have to play XEnoblade DE and Xenoblade 2 right?
Yes, don't play Xenoblade 3 without playing 1 and 2 first.
There’s tons of SAUCE?! 😳🤤
Been waiting for this review! You are the best xenoblade 3 hype man. Much love
I just ordered XC - 3 from the sale physically so I'm still waiting for it to arrive. However, this is my first time with the Series and my only concern is context. Can a total newb pick up XC - 3 and "get it" or should I start with XC - 1?
Much luv PE - you convinced me to pick this up during the recent Nintendo summer sale. :)
Yes I think a newbie would be able to enjoy the game perfectly fine. But if you played the first 2 it makes it better. So no you don’t have to but it enhances the experience.
@@neoPeake Thanks for the response, i think im going to start with 1, and 2 but ive made it thru the earlier stages in XC - 3. I love this franchise now lol - they got XC - 3 coasters at the NES Eshop yall
@@mr.anderson7233 no prob. I’m glad you’re enjoying the series now. I been playing it back in 2014 when shulk was announced for smash and I played XC X. Anyways this is a special franchise that Nintendo has.
10/10 for me. It’s now my favorite switch game 😱💯💪🏾
BRO...go get a marseille Mclassic, and then a 4k gamer pro and run them daisy chained. You will be able to play 60 fps 4k. This and other switch games look stellar, even if it is a bit expensive getting those 2
I can't wait for a new monolith soft game on a new hardware. It's going to melt my brain🤩🤩🤩
I'm only a few hours in and the voice overs in battle is taking me out of it " You hear that Noah? Lanz wants something more meaty* 🙄
Yep im feeling the same way lol 😆
Yeah- that is a problem I have with this. Not nearly enough of these quotes.
Just slogged through Xenoblade 2. I was thinking about how much I hated playing through 2. I like 1. But 2 the fights took forever. I hope 3 the fights are not 5 minutes.
I hated 2.
3 pretty much addressed every issue I had with 2. So you'll probably be alright with it too.
@@TheLonelyGoombahow was Xenoblade 3? I’m looking for a game to redeem my last switch voucher and im thinking about it.
Did you ever end up getting 3? If so what did you think about it?
@@starblazing1160 I loved it.
@@TheLonelyGoomba nice! Also nice seeing you I love your content.
I didn’t read any reviews or watch any trailer beyond the announcement as I really wanted to go in blind. I like the first 2 Xenoblades a lot (haven’t played X), but after also putting in 200 hours now and not even halfway through my second play through, this is easily top 3 favorite rpg of all time. The story, characters, voice acting, open world, side quests, colony building, combat have come together to make something very special. My first play through took 160 hours and I was sad it was over. Absolutely cannot wait to see what they do with the expansion.
i really liked 2, so pummped for this, grabbed it on sale with dragons dogma lastnight! playing dragons dogma first or i start mixing up storyline and controls between games if i do more then one rpg at a time lol
Yeah it's definitely a 10/10 game. The only super minor nitpick I have is the lack of the ability to lower your party's levels. Makes leveling classes a tad more tedious xD. Nothing score-lowering for me though. Damn-awesome game.
I don't know about anyone else but XB3 the music on some parts touches home to Chrono Trigger & Final Fantasy 6.
Yeah good move. Sometimes scripted isn’t always good. Passion and attitude will trump everything else. I did my 200+ hrs, and loved every minute. Will go back when a lot of the DLC comes in.
Yea my jaw dropped a bunch of times followed with Oooohhhh shhhhhhtttt frfr 💯💯
I wish Monolith Soft coached gamefreak on how to make games on Switch
9.9 out of 10. -0.1 is for graphic flaws
there were a few bangers but overall i found the soundtrack weaker than the others. which. is sad as i love their OST’s in general.
Im about 90 hours in, I left the main story aside at Mio's additional story to finish a lot of side quests, seeing the relationships emerge and evolve among people and among colonies is somehow very satisfying.
