Forgiveness does not necessarily mean reconciliation. If anyone wrongs you and is not sorry, your forgiveness of them could mean you simply remove them from your life and be happy. Your happiness is proof that you have moved on.
But Joseph didn't just simply welcome them back. He didn't let on that he knew them when they went to him to buy food because of the famine(In a dream Joseph foresaw the famine and stored up food for it). He put them through tests and demanded that Benjamin be brought to him, learning that the brothers had changed because they were protective of Benjamin. He forgave them but it wasn't all hugs from the very beginning.
Jesus please hear my prayers, I have nowhere to turn but to you. I know sometimes, it may be hard to trust God’s plan but we must take comfort and have faith in him. I know we can’t place our faith in mortal things. So I’m keeping faith. I have lost so much in the pass two years since losing my job as a social worker at Forsyth Hospital. I lost my job because I declined the vaccine I declined due to my pre existing health condition lupus and heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption. I’m waitressing and I’m so thankful to be working but I’m not making nearly enough to make ends meet. I have two beautiful boys both are autistic. My husband passed away years ago. I feel so alone. Each month is a struggle to not end up on the streets with my two boys. I’m constantly afraid of losing my home. But even as I face homelessness this month. I have faith, God will provide. He has this far. With GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE, please keep me and my two little boys in your prayers. Thank you.

It is good to know that regardless of what is done to us, GOD is still in control & He will resolve whatever the situation has become. His will for us will still come to pass. There is no need for us to hold onto grievances. With the help of GOD we can forgive others & move on with our lives, and have faith that GOD is with us every step of the way. Praise GOD!
I have forgiven many wrongs done to me; but the last one was verbal, emotional and financial abuse done to me by my PASTOR! I cannot get past this. The hurt and scars are so deep
Julie, I had some issues that hurt me deeply. I prayed and prayed to help me. I finally laid it on God and asked for peace in my heart. I immediately felt it wash over me. It was overwhelming and so wonderful. I will pray for you too.
@Julie Keller. Dear Julie. Do you want to get past this no matter how deep the hurt? Please ask Jesus for help in being able to truly forgive from your heart so that you won't stay stuck here and wind up with a bitter heart that will affect everyone you come in contact with be they family, friends, or co-workers, but especially your own self and your relationship with your Savior. Ask Him to forgive you of your own unforgiveness, if for no other reason than Jesus telling us that if we won't forgive, we won't be forgiven.
