I got some new parts for the Bronco last week and I was beyond eager to test them out. So I headed to Tahuya ORV in Washington State to test out the Bronco with the new parts installed. On the Bronco now is a set of RCI Metalworks Rock Sliders and 35-inch Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

Rig is working amazing. I love my RCI sliders. Also love the top plate option you got as well. 😎✌🏼
Had to get it for the wife lol
New parts are always fun. The nittos look like/drive like they like the dry environment. My gladiator diesel came with 35x12.5 RG and well they got replaced almost immediately for their lack of performance. Have to say kickout sliders are performing so much better than the standard sliders.
I’ve heard a lot of very mixed reviews on the nitto RGs. They look like they’d perform awesome so I wanted to test them out myself.
Love RCI, they are literally a mile down the road. My wife gets her new RCI bumper, winch, light install next week on her TRDPro t4r 😀😊
Hell yeah! That’s awesome! That’s gonna look so good!
It was fun to watch this episode! Looks like such a fun time. We plan to take our Bronco there at some point as well.
Thanks man! Yeah next summer we’ll make it happen for sure
Well done well done look like you had a lot of fun and good time out there now for the Iceco grill it looks bigger one thing I would like to see them making an adapter for their grills with propane, and on the grill top actually having the iceco logo in it would be great addition to that Grill and the chair looks very comfortable thanks for sharing 😊
Yeah I think there’s definitely stuff that could be improved with a second iteration. But man those brats were bomb! Lol so I’m pumped on it. And dude the chair is so comfy!
Good morning. I was excited to see you out here in my neck of the woods. Good job out there solo. If you ever want a trail buddy in Tahuya let me know. I live just up the road. Keep up the good work. The wife and I love your videos.
Thanks so much! I love it out there man. If we ever cross paths out that way flag me down for sure!
Looks like fun! I'm about to try out the Nitto Ridge Grapplers too.
Dude, I like them so far. Snow is the big question mark. But next time you’re up here I’ll take you here! Would love to see the tundra tackle it! Or the Jeep if you wanna break down lol
@@OFFTHEGRIND lol! My Toyo hybrids aren't great in the snow, so I'm not holding my breath on the Nittos. I do plan on bringing the Jeep out to play.
Also, wiring compressor to battery permanently helped me out a ton and i dont get to wheel that often.
No winch yet. I am working on it though because I really really need one. Agreed with the permanent compressor, but there’s not a ton of option for the bronco. There’s one I’m interested in but still not sold. MOREFlate is a Killer product so I’ll run them for now for sure!
@OFFTHEGRIND not too difficult to wire the one you have up permanently. I did it with my smitty built thay used the jumper cable lines. relay hooked up to switch 6 to activate. still winch when wheeling alone is much more key, ask me how I know, ha!
@@warrencarter665 yeah for sure. I may at some point switch but as for hard wiring what I have currently, I don’t have a place to permanently mount it. I have to leave the rig very modular cause the configuration changes drastically depending on who I go out with
Just subbed after I watched your Oregon trip video, great work there. Your Badlands looks great and I am interested to see how you like the Nittos after a bit more time with them. My brother and I just got our Broncos back in August (Badlands and Wildtrak) and they have performed excellently on the Nor Cal trails we have been on so far. Looking forward to more of your content.
Thanks man and congrats on getting your broncos!! They are such a great platform. I bet the stock tires (either Goodyear or BFGs) would do really well in your area. Those Goodyears are just so brittle though.
Now you’re ready for your next adventure. The bronco looks great! Have a great Thanksgiving
And I can’t wait to get back out again! Thank you and happy thanksgiving to you as well
I have Ridge Grapplers on my Raptor. I love em on the trail and they look awesome, but those things are loud loud loud. It’s a pain to talk on the phone daily. Thanks for sharing your rig with us.
I haven’t had that issue yet. Wondering how that’ll change as they get more miles on them
I love that rig. Even though axle articulation is shockingly bad I think it’s a sweet ride for the weekender on easy to Medium trails. And yours looks awesome
Shockingly bad? It's actually really good, especially for an IFS vehicle. I have been super impressed with this rig but I will admit, it will never flex like a Jeep. And thanks!
Great video David. I found your channel over at Casey250 from his upload today. Subscribed and now have a lot to binge watching to do tonight. I run a 2021 2 door Badlands Bronco. Thanks and keep the shiny side up!
Haha pace yourself!! Or don’t lol! But I’m so glad you’re liking what I put out and glad you made it over here!
I wanna come there try the capabilities of the G!
I would love to see a G wagon used properly! I know they’re luxurious, but they’re super capable off roaders and I wish I saw them on the trail
New to your channel and im a fan already
Thanks so much, glad you’re enjoying the content!
Tahuya can be tight in some spots! But not as tight as what I just experienced at Reiter Hills 😂 if you care at all for your rig, avoid Lovers Lane
Oh my god! Reiter hills is intense. I took my Tacoma up there and it was super tight. Can’t imagine the width of the bronco there
Love the videos. Keep it up. What exhaust system you have?
Thanks! It’s a corsa sport exhaust
Great video. I think your rig is a perfect mix of form and function. Have you thought about adding a winch?
Thank you! Yes, I definitely have and am really trying to make that happen soon. Was hoping to have one by winter so I could be a little more confident in the snow
If Ford doesn't pay you for these, they should. I'm ordering a Badlands because of you. Well done.
That’s so awesome to hear! Dude you’re gonna love it! It is such a great platform. And thank you!
I want to know where the hot grill and hot coals went after your lunch?😊
I actually found a pile of rock to dump the coals out on and poured water in them. The grill cooled down real quick after removing the coals so I just loaded that back up
no winch yet or is it hidden somehow?
Awesome video. Anything at Tahuya ORV that would be fun for a little Bronco Sport Badlands?
Yes absolutely!! Enter at elfendal staging area and stay left. That’ll take you to some good stuff!
What do you use for airing down and airing up on the trail?
I have a morrflate ten six psi pro and their quad hose kit
Never again with Nittos for me. I had the terra grappler G2s and after owning them I see why they discontinued them.
I feel the same way about the BFG K02s
@@OFFTHEGRINDThat we can agree on! Terrible!
What happened to the falkens they were brand new?!
Honestly, nitto saw my Goodyear review and offered me a free set. I was between the falkens and nittos when I got the falkens so I couldn’t pass up the offer
@@OFFTHEGRIND That’s fair… just curious what’s your opinion of the falkens compared to the nittos? I’ve based my bronco build a lot off of yours! Thanks for the reply.
What exhaust did you put on your Bronco? I love the sound
It is a Corsa Sport Exhaust with the turn down tip
Do you have any additional skid plates?
I do not. Just what the badlands Sasquatch came with. Soon I’ll be switching them out though
Not sure if you said it and I missed it, but what load range tires do you use? E? Great content as always btw, I currently have a ‘20 Taco and I’m thinking of moving to Bronco too
I don’t think I did specify but they are E range so they have the 3 ply sidewall. Dude, do it! Loved my taco, but my bronco is better in almost every way
@@OFFTHEGRIND yea, I really like what I’ve seen so far, and it definitely ticks a lot of the boxes I have. I also have a ‘17 JK Wrangler, but the solid front axle is super annoying on pavement with all the potholes. Thinking either Badlands or even Everglades, not sure I’d need the sway bar disconnect or the 2.7L, so Everglades might work for me. It comes standard with the Sasquatch package and a Warn winch from the factory, which is nice. Again, super interesting and informative channel, love the content and thought you put around your decisions. Surprised you get 17-18mpg with load E 35’s, but that’s awesome man
@kernelpanic901 the Everglades is an amazing package for sure with all the standard stuff they have. Honestly the 2.3 isn’t much less powerful than the 2.7 but I imagine that will be plenty. The transmission is really what makes it excel anyways. You can get away with less hp with 10 speed and the gear reduction it offers.
11I've just found your channel thanks to Casey250. Love the content !!
Well thanks Casey! I’m glad you’re here and liking it!
How's the Bronco been holding up so far?
It’s been great! I haven’t had a single issue with it. I will say the rook is starting to squeak a little (20k miles on it now) but from what I’ve read, there is a lubricant that you can put on the seals that will get rid of it. Loving this platform
What mechanical issues have you had with your bronco so far?
None
@@OFFTHEGRIND how many miles do you have on it?
@@lastmanoffthefield4572 20k. Had it a year in two weeks
Im in Olympia/Lacey. Are we neighbors? I'm looking to get out of my 2016 F150 and into a Bronco. Thanks.
Pretty close! Hope you get the bronco soon!
😎👍
Saw you on Casey 250 thought I'd check your channel out
Thanks for coming over! Hope you like my stuff
Casey250 sent me... Subbed

Thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
David, a Bronco Badlands on 35s and without a winch it looks kinda small size 4wd ( 155 hp and 200 torque. Example) which is prone to get stuck somewhere off the grid. I didn't say you are and you will. I really wants you to have a winch and better suspension and lift kits. Overlading mid-size SUV on 35s with no winch looks like an overlanding vehicles of the early 2010s (no offense, mate just an example). Without winch not so much, cuz when the jeep JK and JKU first came out it dominated the 4wd market of it's segment with little to none to challenge. 35s were the then go to tyres size, however with today's technology 37s are the new 35s. 37s can easily fitted on Tacoma and 4runner with the new Portal 74 weld system. No high inch lift kits aren't necessary like it used to be to fit 34 and a half inch tyres on the Tacos and 4runner.
An overland vehicle doesn’t have to look a certain way. It is a vehicle for the individual to explore however they want to explore. For some, that’s a Subaru, and for other it’s a Jeep on 40s. All these vehicle have the ability to overland, the difference is the trail difficulty they can take on. The origins of overlanding is far from what is associated with it now
@@OFFTHEGRIND you're right absolutely right. I don't know what I was thinking. With your quite moderate lights setup and 35s inch on a Bronco badlands it's obvious now. You planned very well before your solo adventure and there's no room for error. That's what you are, David. However no one is perfect so you may never need to use a winch, but one time when you need it, believe me you'll be so thankful you have one.
My style is very much different. We sometimes hit the trails without any agenda. So we need good lights like bumper mounted dual driving lights, overhead light bar cuz, sometimes we searched for camps hours after sunset.
There's one thing I've been trying to tell but i didn't cuz this is not the platform. But I'm telling you today, since the 3rd of May 2023 I didn't overland Solo Or with friends cuz there's a war in my home state of Manipur, India. In brief it's the Majority Meitei(Hindu) against a minority Kuki(Christian). According to our Constitution Arms act 1-50 plus it's very rigid and strict. Only a single or double barrel Shotgun (12 gauge), . 22 bolt action rifle with only 6 rounds capacity megazine, 3.8 ACP with two megs and 50 live rounds and 9mm with two megs, 40 live rounds are the only guns which can be bought legally with license for each Gun.
Although I volunteer if there's no emergency on the working days I have the right to work. On weekends I'm a soldier (volunteer). I have 5 years experience in the Army as a havaldar (US sergeant). Now I'm a business man. Taking my dad's place according to his will.
@@OFFTHEGRIND sorry if I offended you or you rig. I didn't mean it, alright David. I don't speak English well, alright? Please understand.
