@Allen S The Husband and I had a 94 SE one of the best ever. The new ones cost a lot and are smaller the 90s GW were the lazy boys for the highway with aftermarket armrest and driver backrest went across the US on one it was even fun in the rain.
AWESOME!!! MEMORIES!! I JUST WENT TO STURGIS ON MY 95 SE!! It still keeps up n passes the newest harleys indians!!! GL1500 body is much better than the 1800 models. Thanks for the vid.✝️🇺🇸🍻
17. Grand in 95 was a s*** ton of money. Wow and Honda obviously used top of the line engineering and parts for this bike because you can still find them to this day that works flawlessly. Bravo Honda
I love the 1500 Goldwing se i had a 88 and a 94 i could ride for 200 miles straight in pure comfort only had to stop to fill up the tank. Then I traded in on a new 2001 1800 goldwing i love the power and it being fuel injection but the comfort was gust not there after riding 2 hours i couldn't wait to get off the thing i don't think the new ones are any different in comfort
For comfort, luggage space and sheer looks nothing beats the GL1500 imo! I'll never upgrade my '91 Aspencade. Low centre of gravity and wide handlebars make easy handling.
Honda should have put this engine in the Civic. Give the “sporty” Integra the high revving b16 for the GSR and the b18 for the Type R. Then use this flat 6, low revving engine as the upgraded motor option in the Civic over the d15. It would have been perfect as a smooth, torquey and unique long distance commuter motor (kind of like it is on the bike)
Fortunately, you can find a good 1500 for less than 3K in today's money. They are two generations back, so there are more bells and whistles on the brand new ones.
@@cindysue5474 yeah, I understand they are great touring bikes, don't get me wrong. I'm just not a fan of bigger bikes like that. Too heavy for me. I'm more of a middleweight type cruiser person. That's just me.
@@MarkMeadows90 My Husband was 36 when we got ours yes they are heavy but they have great balance and you do sit low in the seat where the passenger is up higher. After the GW we bought a Valkyrie that's a bike you would like for a cruiser plus you can go cross country on it.
@@cindysue5474 The 1800s had less storage (the first time Honda backslid with a new model), but this has been corrected in the facelift model they sell now.

The one 90's honda that you can find in nice shape for cheap

200, 300k miles on these no sweat
Gold Wings are the best long-distance bike, hands down. They piss all over Harleys and Indians and BMWs in terms of reliability and comfort.
@@hank1556 Yeah 50K on them the engine was just broken then lols.
Without tasteless modifications
Awesome motorcycle and I still see them around going strong in 2020
Thanks for all these great old vids👍
Saw one on the highway with a side car and pulling a costum trailer...King of the road indeed.
I had a 83’ goldwing standard. Bought it off the original owner with 50k on it. Sold it to a buddy and it now has 70k.
Its just broken in lols.
These sure are an amazing bike. Center of mass is almost on the ground. Super easy to ride
I bought a Goldwing SE new in 95 identical as that one, same color. Someone at work owns it now with 130k miles on it. Still looks in good shape.
We had a 94 SE bet there are people looking for 90s GWs they were 2 wheeled Caddys lols.
Still riding my 95 with 107 Thousand miles on it, runs smooth as ever.
But does it have voltage and oil pressure gauges? _Does it have voltage and oil pressure gauges?!_
That was amazing to see the dog run across the street unexpectedly
The dog was a paid actor.
@@basshead. 😂
No animals were harmed in the making of this film.
It was expected...Lol!
Just bought a 93 with 32k miles for under 5k! I love it, Awesome motorcycle!
I just ran across a.2000 se 42k on it for 3900.00 I'm thinking that a good deal
AWESOME!!! MEMORIES!! I JUST WENT TO STURGIS ON MY 95 SE!! It still keeps up n passes the newest harleys indians!!! GL1500 body is much better than the 1800 models. Thanks for the vid.✝️🇺🇸🍻
Did they just throw a dog there to test the bike?
Science was real crude back then.
Dog was never in any danger...they knew ahead of time to brake for the dog...plus, Honda brakes...

SOOO Funny, I have the '07 Goldwing and get such a kick out of these videos😅
One day. Imma buy two of these and go cross country with my dad
DO IT! Some of the best times you will have.
best motorcycle ever.
I have a 98 GL1500 SE and cant argue that point.
Best above 400cc, anyhow. Once you get into the big iron, there's nothing to compare to the Wing.
I always wanted a Gold wing or a Burgman 650.
Wow! That things was 11 to 17 grand back then…… it’s a ridiculous 30 grand nowadays.😭😭😭
I’m just trying to find a stock 1995 Honda Accord EX 5-speed. Unfortunately all appear modified
Thats a 30k bike in today's money
Yes, money went a lot further back then. Unfortunately, unlike today.
exactly
Fortunately, you can find a good 1500 for less than 3K in today's money. They are two generations back, so there are more bells and whistles on the brand new ones.
This is one of the weirdest-looking cars I've ever seen.
because its not a car lol
And one of the most comfortable Le and entertaining motorcycles I ever owned! 😎
Never really been a fan of the Goldwing, but I see they are some might comfortable bikes to sit on.
When you take a trip on one then you will understand my Husband didn't like them till he took one for a test drive and that's all it took.

@@cindysue5474 I do like the older Valkyries. Traditional style cruiser and a nice 6 cylinder engine. Sounds good with a set of pipes.
@@MarkMeadows90 Ours had custom pipes and the sound of all 6 carbs opening up its like a mopar on 2 wheels.
Awesome video
I had an 84 Goldwing. It was a nice bike but electrical gremlins
The great gradpa motorcycley machine! 🤣 But no oil pressure or voltmeter gauges.
A wonderful machine. Many of them have more miles than you could ever get on a Chrysler
How much power does the engine make?
a bit over 100HP but tons of torque.
Goldwing is the cadillac of motorcycles!!
Nonsense, it is far superior to that General Motors pile of garbage
Or a Lincoln Mach 5.
Cadillac WANTS to be the Goldwing of cars.
Does Honda still produce a motorcycle like this Gold Wing any more?
yes
Yes but it don't compare to the mid 90s models I think they are smaller now.
Yes it is called the gold wing
The GL1500 was replaced for the 2001 model year by the GL1800 GoldWing which was itself replaced in 2018 by a redesigned GL1800
@@cindysue5474 The 1800s had less storage (the first time Honda backslid with a new model), but this has been corrected in the facelift model they sell now.
That is not a bike, that is a 2 wheels car
Nice
$17K? Yikes, they don't call it "Gold" for nothing. Even the cheapest one at $11K was still more expensive than the Accord.
That color doesn't do it justice
Yeah our 94 was an all solid candy red on.
They only ran a couple of colors in any given model year. That year they had magenta, green and red, none of which look really good on video.
@@SoloPilot6Have a beautiful purple one 😊
I wait excitedly for the retro review each week. I hated when MW did motorcycle roadtests then, and I hate it even more now.
Not a single performance number.
@Akira S Thanks!
And now we have wifi and ac😁
I like this
🙂🇸🇪👋👋
looks like a 72 cadillac
no slalom? hp or 0-60?? lmao
Why would you need either one ? Its a Goldwing Its made for cruising.
0 - 60 in a little over 5 seconds.
