I love the teacher planner, I am currently using the undated digital planner of yours, however, I am a therapist and I think this one will be PERFECT. I can’t wait for your releases tomorrow!!

Kara, the planners look AMAZING! I especially like that the extra desk space was eliminated for those with a smaller iPad. My perfect planner is a mix of both the teacher planner and your original planner. I’m not a teacher, but my job (and effectively, my life) follows the academic calendar. I can’t wait to purchase a planner tomorrow! I’ve truly enjoyed watching your videos every day and will surely miss them. You’ve made a digital planner out of me :)
I am so excited for the teacher planner!!!!!!! It will be sooo much easier than paper when I am constantly erasing and scribbling things out to migrate due to snow days and other typical teacher changes. Love this!! Can't wait to get it!
I'm going to miss the daily digital planner videos. Before you started this series, I wanted to give digital planning a try, and now I really want to give it a try. So time to get an Apple pencil, and access to an iPad. Can't wait to see how your academic planners differ from the planners you have listed in detail. The peak looks really cool! Thank you so much for taking the time and posting these videos daily. I'm probably going to re-watch some of these videos to learn more about GoodNotes and ProCreate. One of these days, I'll give your layout a try. So far, your layouts are my favorite from all the ones I've come across in my research.
I'm excited for the teacher planner! I'm not a teacher, but I do work with children with disabilities and it would be great to use for work :)

I guess I have to save money for an iPad and iPad-pen (I'm using a Mac, so it will be better for me). I love the digital planner idea! I like how it still looks like you use a regular book, but on an iPad! You use less paper, but still get the "feeling" of writing by hand. Maybe that would be a thing for me when studying too? Hmm ...

I like that you've moved the buttons into the (teacher) planner, will you do that for the original planner? I'd personally prefer to have more of the planner on screen - the table space seems rather pointless
Currently using the undated. But I love that the teacher has an hourly, are you planning on releasing that on a regular planner that we could start in June??
I know that the USA academic year ends in June, but in the U.K. for example, school still runs all the ah up until the last week of July. Has there not been much call for that? Or would it be something for the future?
Jennifer Lockey I don’t think there is much demand on such a format, at least not enough that it’s worth making even for someone that successful as Kara. But you could get an undated one (if offered) and rearrange the months in GoodNotes. As far as I understand the app the links should still work. The only thing you could not change would be the order of the tabs as they are included in the page layout.
Lorelei Lee I guessed 🙁 it probably wouldn’t fit on the page, without messing up the dimensions on the tabs, but a 13 month calendar would be able to be used by all. (Running July - July)
Any chance you can share how on earth you manage to shrink the size of the planner when you figure it out?? I have the programs necessary to make my planner exactly what I need but i'm being forced to use PNGs instead of the native pdfs because when I export the planner to PDF to try and add my own links, add my own layouts, etc, the file gets ENORMOUS quickly. Like I import it an just add a couple things and it's already almost twice the size.. I just can't figure out where my settings are wrong!
Any help would be massively appreciate because I ALSO can't figure out how to get my PNGs to export crisply. The only clear images I can create are PDFs. i've kicked my res up to 600 dpi and as soon as I import the PNG it instantly reduces the res and the fuzz is driving me mad
Kristen M. What programs do you use? I’d love to know. I’ve been playing around (in my mind) with how I’d like to customize my digital planner, but don’t know what program to use to achieve this.
Oh my God! I’m so thankful that you decided to do another month! I honestly wasn’t sure about digital planning, but watching how you work in yours makes me more curious to try it! Regarding file size of your new planners... I sent you a note via your Etsy shop quite a while ago with an idea about how to reduce the size of your design elements. I'm just wondering if you were able to try that out.
Can you share?? I'm trying to add my layouts to her planner but as soon asI add even a line-only spread into the planner it almost double the file size. I think it's in my illustrator settings, but i feel like i've tried everything in illustrator and acrobat and can't figure it out!
My tip is for the actual creation of the initial planner and not for when we start using it. Maybe in your case, it's how you export it to an image. How big are the images of your spreads in your camera roll, if you save them to it? If you just copy/paste, maybe it's a larger image if that's how you get them from illustrator into your planner.
well when I initiall export it the pdf is only about 42MB which is fully managable. Once I add a spread in (it's just lines and a little text) to just a single page in illustrator, it's jumping to over 100MB. It should NOT be doing that so I know it's my settings. I get a better-bit-different result in acrobat but it's still huge.
