This lady has given me so much …not just inspiring but down to earth and natural ..love her way of doing stuff 😊 it’s got me back to sewing without being afraid of ‘oooo..that’s not right’ ..‘that’s not how I would do it’ …I’m just doing it Thanks Darlene
I absolutely love watching these videos. They make me laugh so hard. I am keeping all of them. Tell me have you ever thought of going into comedy full time? Thank you so much for lifting up my day.
Darlene - I want to compliment you on your teaching skills--you are a natural at it! Have you taught classes of any kind in the past? You sure seem experienced at it. I love how you remind us that it doesn't matter if it's not perfect; that is such a good reminder. Anything handmade is individual and perfect in its own way! And... you taught me something else today--that I can use a bobbin as my top thread on my sewing machine. WHY DIDN'T I EVER THINK OF THAT?? (Would never have thought of it in a million years, I'm sure.) You rock, lady. Keep the videos coming!!!!
Hi Darlene~Ya know, you are the one that started me on crazy blocks when you made a crazy block tote. Well, I love this and the newspaper technique was genius. Thank you~OH, I meant to tell you, my vacation with my first love I hadn't seen in 30 years was FANTASTIC! There will be more vacations in the future. Just a FYI Love to you!
I'm so glad you let me know how your vacation went! That's so awesome!!! You had me confused with the newspaper technique but now I remember I used that to make the patterns! lol
Dear Darlene, I love the block tutorials. You are so creative. Can you please show us how to finish a block - with batting, backing and quilting? I am new to patchwork and quilting. I attended a patchwork class and managed to finish a 9 patch wall hanging :) Thank you so much for the very clear tutorials. Blessings and best wishes, Vienna, Austria
Could you do a story time on who taught you to sew? My Mom made me some Barbie clothes once. She sadly didn't teach me how to sew. Love watching you!!!
Hello Peanut Gallery! I have block #7 for your viewing pleasure! I like the way this one came out! I'd love to make an entire quilt using just wonky 9 patch blocks. So fun! xoxo See the Quilt Block Party playlist here tinyurl.com/ha4uq2u And I have my Hair Dyeing Video up now too! Go check it out!
cute block, looking forward to your hair cutting/dyeing vid!

UA-cam is my full time job and I bring comedy into it. So kind of like I'm into comedy full time.

I'm so glad the bobbin trick helped! I had a big bag filled with half threaded bobbins and I was like, this has got to stop! LOL
I really really NEED to move next door to you. I wondered what to do with all the different colored bobbins I had. OMG
Love that fact you left your Mom in ! Another great square, Can't wait to see the next one. :)

Englebert Humperdink?!? *swoon* He was one hunk of man! I like this block.
I love love lover Englebert Humperdink!!!
I thought you were in some sort of pain for a second, just before you pointed out the fabric from your shirt!
Can you do some applique on some of your blocks?
I'm sure I will be at some point. Might not be in this series, but maybe the next.
You don't have batting? What is the back fabric?
Whatever you choose …do what works for you
I like the corners not matching
