    I've been Flipping on ebay since December 5th, 2016. If you put in the time, effort and work, you can absolutely make money. It will be hard in the beginning trying to figure out how to ship items, and the whole system of "flipping" but press on and it will become like breathing. Everyone has their own way and processes, you will find yours. I've evolved as a Full time Reseller as has my entire basement. It's not for everyone, but for those that are in on it, It becomes a lifestyle because everywhere you go you see opportunities that 99% of people walk past.

      Okay, but how do you compete with Amazon? This is what I don't get. Amazon always do it for cheaper, especially if people have Prime and most people do. So how does that work? Genuinely asking as I've been trying for a while. 💯✌🙏

    • @NostalgiaPicker
      @NostalgiaPicker 2 роки тому +19

      @@doll_juice That is a great question, Thank you for asking it. I focus on vintage and antique items and well as hitting the 70s and 80s Nostalgia niche. I do sell a many products that are new in package with original tags as well. As far as competing against any other platform, I don't overthink it. I just buy what I've learned sells for me, do my best to take Quality pictures, provide accurate measurements when required, answer messages in a timely fashion. Ship out the same or Next Day and never trip over a return or hiccup in the process. The secret is the reseller MUST have an internal drive that pushes them. Success and Failure are both destinations arrived via Choice and Action or lack thereof.

      @@doll_juice all depends what you’re selling. Amazon itself sells items, then they have 3rd party individuals like us sell on there too. When you’re buying stuff from garage sales etc it’s usually really cheap. So the profits will always be there especially if you sell on amazon. Amazon is actually the place you can ask for the highest price for items. It’s just a lot of red tape to sell on there so a lot of people avoid it. I sell mainly on eBay, been dragging my feet to do amazon bc It’s such a hassle

    Man’s not wrong. If he was homeless and broke tomorrow, within a year he will be back on his feet and killin’ it. Just not everyone has his mentality. Which means yes you should watch his shit and try to learn. Doesn’t have to be him, but most successful people can do it again from scratch. It’s all about the mentality, knowledge, and skills.

    I’ve been selling collectible cards for a long time. eBay has gotten INSANE with the amount of fees they take out. Not only that, but you no longer get to ship cards over a certain dollar amount directly to the customer. It has to go to a 3rd party verification facility. It doubles the shipping time. Also, I would typically give free cards to customers who spent over a certain dollar amount to add value. The authentication facility will cancel the sale and return to sender. If I buy something for $100 and sell it for $160, after fees and shipping, I’ll get around $110. It’s not worth it. Very sad how much they bend the sellers over.

    Look, I can understand how this works in the US where everyone basically lives in beautiful suburban houses, but I'm from São Paulo, Brazil. There's no such thing as a "house" here, only apartment buildings with security infrastructure everywhere. Can you suggest other ways to get some extra cash?

    Garage sales is good for those they are skill in buy and sales, it's pretty hard to négociate and pretty hard to sell with a good price, i tried this but all i bought was too expansive for the market and i buy with a lower price.
