Much info very thank
Mine comes in this weekend I can't wait!
Really nice review! :)
⚡ *Era 2 out already!* 👀⚡
Lovin the combined classic DKwan 2017 video style mixed with newer style 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Yeay new video 😀
good review
It's great to see another slimline design other than Exway and TeamGee.
Nice & Thanks :)
I've got the backfire g2 black love it need to upgrade but a tip to anyone who has one when it comes up on the remote that the board battery has only 25% left, it will actually have 50% of the battery remaining iv got a top mount battery box on mine with 3x 10s2p stock battery's from backfire i have a volt reader installed on top so i can get a live volt read out while riding. And at 2 bars when it's comes up 25% you'll actually have 36volts left wich is half of a 36 volt battery for anyone who have no idea what there on about and lets face it you should if your on this channel a 36 volt battery actually is 42 volt at peek hope this helps someone and great video Man feels like iv been waiting for months for a new video but you never disappoint. Love it bro kinda dislike how the era is a uni body board would make it difficult to buy a new esc if it fries definitely a great deal for 400usd and you get that backfire quality and customer service with without saying too much is too good thanks a lot for the free battery backfire 🤣
Would you say it's worth getting Era 2 instead of G2 Black? I'm currently debating between the two
Hey Daniel, which board do you prefer and why (in short): the X1 Max or the Era 2? I live in a country where e-boards aren’t allowed. Therefore, I’m looking for a sleek board. The difference in price is €300 even with the offers. Is the difference in price worth it?
Thats really affordable. Could be a decent beater/backup board.
Call me spoiled but I have to have a drop deck design. I like the lower feeling. Thanks for the video, hope the leg is getting easier to work with, I've been there with broken(femur) leg, ankle, feet, hip, . Keep at it, didn't take me too long to get back to normal. I think it was 2 years to stretch and walk faster. Anyways any break can hurt and slow you down but now I run quite fast.
It’s hard to get a real drop down style deck on an eboard bc of the battery and esc underneath hitting the floor only way to fix it is risers which make having the drop pointless if u can diy a super thin battery enclosure then maybe lol
What helmet is that?
Hello guys I need help! I want to buy a nice board easy to ride and carve on the road. I was going to buy Exway Flex (maybe the latest PRO version) but maybe there are better options now. It will be my first board, just for fun, I still don't know if I will like to skate, so maybe cheaper is better. What board do you advice to buy?
Is the motor also hobbywing compatible? Ie,their 96mm sleeves? I noticed & like their thru-hole sleeve design. Having the thread in the hubcap will make it easier to repair, if it's stripped. +1 for hobby... I mean backfire
I believe the motors are Hobbywing. Best double check with Backfire if gonna change sleeves.
Probably a great board for beginner, or a kid.
Most importantly, can this new model fit 105mm Cloudwheel Donuts?
Haven't seen this essential info mentioned anywhere...
NO
am here :D
For manufacturing efficiency, they shouldn't be splitting so many sku in motor lineup. This will make production complicated and hard for maintenence in stock. Especially for industries like electric skateboard when order is very small comparing to other product categories!!!
What gloves do you use with the removable thumb? Was thinking about chopping my Landyachtz slide gloves... but I think i'd probably regret it.
Flatland fingerless pro gloves are great, built-in wrist guards too
The gloves I wore in this video are PYGTECH with Velcro pieces stapled on to use pucks. Too cold lately for my fingerless FL3D gloves.
Hey Daniel, I've got a question for you. What is your honest opinion of these budget/cheap (UNDER $500) boards?
To me, it seems as though these budget boards are made to have a maximum range of 500 miles/800 kilometer.
It seems like, sure it is a budget board and it costs only $400. But, the boards are designed to fail QUICK and almost instantly.
I buy a $500 budget board, and then, within 500 miles / 800 kilometers, I am constantly spending more and more money for upkeep and maintenance.
$60 Hub Motors, I need to buy two Hub Motors.
$40 back wheels, I need to buy two wheels or four wheels.
$80 longboard deck, I have to replace the entire deck after 500 miles because everything wears down and I am riding on loose pieces of maple hardwood.
$80 for the reverse kingpin trucks, I have to buy two sets of trucks because of wear down.
$60 for a replacement ESC remote.
$120 for replacement batteries
$40 for a new longboard deck in addition to adhesive to reapply/reseal my deck.
I have 1500km on my Exway Wave. So just get the Exway Flex. Great company. My friend had a 400€ Meepo board. After 1 year it is basically trash. My Exway Wave is still feels as new . Yeah it is currently on 550 so a bit over ur budget. I would highly reccommend it.
None of the boards I use frequently are
@@patricktrinh9845 meepo is trash
1 year of board, ESC broke, then 1 hub , wheels quality so awful, and in the end the battery died 😂
Love the design but sadly its not compatible with their cloudwheels and frankly not designed for rough roads
Pretty sure these are modified Hobbywing ESCs.
Exway flex or this ?
This or wow go 2s max for college? I’m light (130lb) so specs won’t matter too much. I just light the sleekness but I like the round curves of the max.
Flip a coin :)
A tiny plastic piece on the inside of my remote that held the spring (that gave the throttle resistance) broke and my board wont respond to the throttle anymore. A new remote is $100?! That's 1/3 the price of my backfire era lmfao. Would rather buy a new board from exway at this point
Exact same issue happened to me a couple months ago!! Backfire charges ridiculous prices for new remotes.
I ended up opening the remote and DIY repairing it myself with superglue... It works fine again but if in any case I'd rather the risk of getting injured than pay for a new one.
5/10 remote quality 👍
agreed, mine came with a loose sounding clinking thing. Opened the remote, a tiny broken piece of plastic, didn't affect anything. Took a decent fall (didn't hurt myself so not that bad), remote hit ground and was completely destroyed. $100 for a new one, ridiculous for a piece of plastic
I like your videos, but this one feels rushed. The road noise and other random noises make the video unwatchable and take away any polish from the video and heavily contrast the nice closeup shots. I know it takes time to record these, I don't expect a script or anything because that takes ages, but I prefer when you record at home using your mic.
Any recommendations for someone who wants to buy an electric skateboard but has no experience?
I was in your shoe 3 yrs ago. Bought the X1 Pro was what the was based on. That was $900 back then - but more polished. I had no skating experience. I had lots of fun going through the LA River bike paths. They were all paved. Irvine & Culver City had the smoothest.
Woo 1 important thing, if you want a cushy ride go look at boards with a soft deck. It will cushion the bumps, cracks & etc. A Exway Flex is around the price range. Lots of wheel options for that board, ie cloud wheel or hollow wheel.
Exway Flex, Backfire Zealot S My first one was the exway wave. A miniboard for portability
i don't understand why they put such small batteries and there is no way a man like me 95kilos would get even 10km on this thing. this iish needs to stop its 2023 we need to upgrade these batteries.
Because the sleek design doesn't allow much space. It is a budget board as well. If you are a heavy rider, get an All Terrain Board.
The purpose of this design is to look sleek, and without an external battery case. I guess they could make it thicker to have two layers of battery.
@@PFULMTL Yeah, but as a heavy rider just get an AT board.
@@patricktrinh9845 True. While I was able to grocery shop/beer run with a Backfire G2, it was really slow to get moving, and took forever to stop. This is unsafe if you are a heavier rider.
Exway Wave solve the problem and prevent the board to get wash out from the market when it comes to 2023.
