- There's a new warning for pet owners about a mysterious illness that's sickened hundreds of dogs nationwide. Experts say the symptoms are similar to kennel cough, only this illness is considered highly contagious, and in some cases, fatal. KDKA-TV's Shelley Bortz has more.
We have a large amount of this illness in Colorado. We canceled our grooming appointment as advised by veterinarians here. Lets hope this illness finds a cure soon. I wouldn’t want to lose my 4 dogs and I know most everyone else feels the same way.

Agree the foods are sus. Espec after the chicken feed problem last year. Commercial feed was stopping laying here in the Maritimes. Farmers switched to hmd feed and chickens would lay. Big companies do not have proper, ethical oversight today.

I might sound crazy but does that backtrack to that illegal run Chinese lab in Reedly, California that was found testing animals? The lab was called PrestigeLabs and it was discovered in Arizona too and moved a total of 3 different states.
You're right, you sound paranoid, "crazy." You've got no scientific training or medical background. It's not wise to spread rumors with no validity.

That's scary. I need to take my dogs to the vet for their checkup but now I am scared to do it.
Maybe you can ask your vet to do a house call so you can keep your dogs away from other dogs or get the very first morning appointment and ask to leave the building out of a different exit so you do not have to go back through the lobby?

Congratulations on your new famiky member! Ask your vet about your concerns at the next appointment. Ask how long it takes for the vaccines to provide coverage. Don't go to bark parks meanwhile, and wash your hands when you've been out shopping or other public activities. Enjoy your little pup, you're doing all you can to keep him healthy. (If he came from a city kennel he might have kennel cough but that's to be expected, if he came from a private rescue organization it's much less likely).

Don't do vaccines too quick. A good vet will admit it lowers their immune system. Spread them out. Good freeze dried meat and liver will boost their immune.
Now they are attacking our pets! Vets are so high that nonody can afford to save a pet😢
Get your dog's immune systems in a good state. Add blended fruits and veg to their diet, get them a digestive emzyme with pre and probiotic to improve their gut health which is key to immune health. Give them as balanced a diet as possible to make sure they are getting the right micronutrients they need to stay strong and healthy to fight off disease.

im a bit worried because my dog coughs at least once daily and sneezes about 3 times daily but theres no discharge hes been sneezing and coughing for 3yrs so im not sure

Thinking the same thing. Maybe this is being done deliberately, because like it or not, they want to get rid of our pets. Next they will be doing a covid test and we know what happens then!
