Sounds like easy and good bread. Thank you for sharing
I am so very sorry for your loss
I finally made this! So far we've had it as toast for breakfast with butter and jelly. It goes great with sausage gravy in place of biscuits and it makes really good sandwiches!!
Butter and bread is amazing as it is too 🤣
Thank you for sharing this recipe, it has to be the best bread I have ever tasted. I wanted something quick so we could have grilled cheese with our soup on this snowy Oklahoma day. I will make this bread regularly.
We didn’t have a garden this year except 5 jalapeño. Out neighbors had tomatoes and I mixed those veggies with, our peppers some organic onions. It is wonderful. I cook mine in the crock pot. For supper I got some salsa and slice of bread. Lol. Mmmumm
Good video , I will make the Bread. Looks Delicious
Hello fellow Kentuckians! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe! OMG! Made this tonight for dinner and it was so easy to make, and it was so delicious! God Bless!
Omg!!!! I was saying a goal for me this year is to start making bread.
I also said I'm going to go through all of your videos.
God, you guys never fail.....love you guys !!! 😊
Thank you for the bread recipe, going to try it 😋
You guys ever think about doing classes on gardening, canning, wood harvesting, etc...???
Jen, I made your bread exactly like you did even down to the melted butter at the end and it turned out Fantastic! Now I realize what's been wrong with my bread...it never had any flavor. Salt! I never put this much salt before and it made all the difference. But besides the taste, this is the softest sandwich bread ever! Mine usually turns out dry and crumbly. This is perfect. I'm glad it makes two loaves because like you said: "this isn't going to last long."
I've been looking for a good sandwich bread recipe, gonna try this one out very soon!
Jen I sold Tupperware yrs back. Tip..Soak that measuring pitcher in some bleach. Brings lids etc right back up nice!
Bread looks great ty!
Im in western KY, going to harvest my sweet potatoes tomorrow.... deer came thru and ate all the leaves off the vines
Where I used to live they would come in and clear off my violet leaves just before our first frost. I was in 6B zone there. They also loved my Swiss chard too.
Just subscribed- you two are adorable! From Alaska
I like your shirt!
The bread looks delicious. With some homemade butter on a warm slice nothing better
I wish I knew how to do this.
thank y'all for be positive! blessings. this old lady still learns, you make it easy.
Someone told me about this and once I did it, I never stopped. My recipe is very close to yours. The only thing I do different is before I start anything, I mix 1 cup of the total amount of the water ( not an extra cup) with 2 level tablespoons of flour in a small skillet I have and cook it on medium heat, stirring constantly until it is cooked; it looks like plain white gravy. Set it aside until it is cool enough not to hurt the yeast. When you get to the part where you are ready to start adding the bulk of the flour, add the cooked flour in FIRST and mix it in. Then add the rest of the flour as usual. It absolutely makes a world of difference it doesn't take that long at all.
This is interesting. How does this process make a difference in the bread?
@@kristincolburn7130 There is science to back it up. I watched someone make Japanese milk bread.
You can Google effects of gelatinized bread and find a lot of scientific stuff.
I have made this a few times. My son cannot have dairy right now while we go through an elimination diet. Everyone enjoys this bread. My son just asked me if I could make it again so we can use it for garlic bread. I was already in the process of making it.
It's so sweet to see the amount of love you have for each other. Thank you for sharing your lives with us.
Hey Zach, missed this one as I was entertaining out of town friends! Today is October 31st and I have yet to have a killing frost in zone 6 central New York State! I can’t believe it my normal frost date is October 10th! I actually deadheaded my zinnias and snapdragons to encourage the buds to blooms as I don’t have a frost in the forecast for 2 more weeks! Even my cherry tomatoes are continuing to blossom! Great advice and I am very happy I did not rip things out the end of September! Enjoying the cooler weather but definitely enjoying the sunshine, gorgeous Fall color, and less bugs in the garden! 😃
We never, ever get a frost here in Australia 🇦🇺 where I am. We only stop when we give the soil a rest.
FYI Flies disappear when Irish Spring soap is around.
Never made this bread yet but its on our list, wild rice cranberry bread it taste so good. (Sandwich bread)
Great advise on successful gardening! I love seeing what you all have planted. Thank you!!
Thank you for the bread recipe and showing how yo make it. You guys are truly the best!!
Your chickens will also love those watermelon. They eat it right down to the green.
just made this bread waiting for oven to preheat so excited!!! how do you all store the bread after
Shop looks great! You may want to move the potbelly well away from customer access in there though and further from the refrigerators. Kids, especially toddlers, are quick and potbelly stoves get extremely hot. Happened to my ex-husband. He ran into granny's house on a cold day and hugged the stove. Off to the hospital they went. Terrifying for all.
gry get severely hit.
Thanks so much for showing the sandwich bread instructional video
Would’ve loved to see you slice into it to see the airiness of it. Wonder? Bread?
Hey, good morning, wow I got my tinctures yesterday and took them for the 1st time this morning WOW the valerian root is STRONG!!!!!!! Even oj didn't help!!! But I'm gonna stick to it, I want to cut out my adderall hoping this helps
I work very far from my home garden, so I harvested my garden. It did well. So excited.
Made your bread this afternoon. Easiest bread I have ever made. Hubby said it is a keeper. TY for sharing your recipe.
If life was fair, I could eat bread at every meal and not get flabby and fluffy.
Yours looks so tempting.
The struggle is real to follow a keto diet but, I'm determined to give it a go to see if it's true about carbs cause inflammation which causes pain.
I'm tired of hurting!
Thank you for sharing this info!!!☮️💜🙏🇺🇸🇮🇱✝️✌️
I am with you ! My biggest eating weakness is carbs 😒
I encourage you to hang in there with the KETO. I carried just over 40 extra pounds for almost 20 years and one day decided to loose at least 20 so I could fit back into clothes I still hung onto from my slimmer days. I did 3 months on KETO with intermittent fasting (no sugar, flour, potatoes or rice...NOTHING WHITE). When I could comfortably wear most of my old clothes, I had lost almost 20 pounds. I could loose more, but for now I’m happy with just being 20 pounds over weight...(I can’t afford to buy new clothes, anyway). That was over a year ago. I do limit my carb intake, but so long as I can still fit into my clothes and be comfortable, I’m a happy camper. KETO worked for me...I enjoyed being able to eat what I could, but I love breads, pasta and potatoes enough not to face the rest of my life without them.
this is so cool. I just finished making sandwich bread to make grilled cheese to have with the homemade tomato soup
Just made this bread today! Thank you so much for the recipe. I have been looking for this bread in my life!!! I may have eaten 3 pieces right out of the oven 😉
Those little watermelons, dont throw them away! I scoop mine out into a bowl with cheesecolth, smash em good with a potatoe masher, then squeeeeese every bit of juice out of them then mix with the powdered juice packets or a can of lemonade, YUM!
Original Irish Spring Soap. Get it at dollar tree. Cut bars in half and place near doors outside on your porches. Flies gone. It works! You could hang some right by the door in a net bag too.
❤❤❤❤❤
Could you put it in the large long loaf pan (all of it)
Thanks so much for this recipe! My family loves it. 😍
I am in Zone 9b with a projected frost date of Dec 1st...I have been planting my fall garden and cleaning up my Summer garden - its looking good here ;)
Thanks!
Love the bread!
Love you guys... Thank you!
Thank you for sharing the bread recipe!! I made it last night, froze half of the dough and baked the other half for lunches today. It is so good! And easy! ❤️
Thank you for sharing Jenn! I’m going to try this! 🥰
I watch every episode, I'm in Niagara Falls, Ontario. I love Jen's Brother's channel too Project Miscompliance.
Interesting! Never saw a recipe like this. I've gotta try it. Thanks!
Ty for this bread recipe Jen ♡ another great video! And harvested my sweet potatoes 2 weeks ago and cured here in south-central Indiana and half of them were very large. I grow them in large pots. I also harvested their leaves ( about a foot on ends of the vines) and rinsed, dried and froze them 😀 still getting peppers and tomatoes and cukes . Beans are on their last legs tho. Been harvesting radishes and lettuce and chard daily too . I love my own organic fresh produce , especially all the herbs 🌿 😋
@ Tamara Robert's- we're off 70 near the OH line. I'm always watching for IN gardeners because I just recently moved here from MN. I'm just curious what you're doing with the frozen leaves... and how did your tomatoes fare this year if you did tomatoes. Thx in advance! - God bless you & yours.🙏
I’m Interested in what you do with the leaves like Sandie.
Just love to watch you guys! Y’all are so encouraging!! Got my salves ordered! Thanks😊Regina
Thank you for the recipe, I will definitely try it !
💖💖 Homemade bread is the best.
YEA!!! I just made the bread. It was so easy and so good. Really easy and it was soo foolproof even I did a good job. I have tried so many recipes and this one worked. Thank you'll.
We still have almost 6 weeks to first frost but I think it will be early. Cool mornings. Still have great peppers and am starting to get cukes from our second crop. Both salt and pepper pickling and large silver slicers- both white cukes which are rated as the top tasting sweet cuke. Already harvested second contender bean crop and new zucchini in now. Hoping for a crop before frost. Seedlings getting ready for all my winter kale,.broccoli, cabbage and collards. Just finisjed w cowpeas (so many) amd cherokee black beans harvesting now. Just bought my frost cover and am working hard as soon as Ian passes. Right now, harvesting rain water as we have had very little rain this year.
My favorite tomato this year, which was new to me was “Chefs Choice”! OMG, it was amazing!!
That bread makes me really miss my parents I lost both within this last yr an my mom cooked n baked alot an my dad had to have meat n bread with every meal he was born an raised n Arkansas then moved to California in his early teens
Can this bread be made with wheat flower?
I hope you are going to put a shield behind the wood stove.
Omg, Jenn the bread looked so good. I was wanting to know if you would make some sour dough bread to show us how. We are wheat bread eaters so I want to definitely try ur bread recipe with wheat flour instead of regular. Love y'all and thanks so much for showing me new things. I really appreciate it!
Loving the recipes 🌸🌸🌸🌸
We are in Washington state and our 1st frost isn't planned for November. So crazy. Love the extra produce. God bless
Pineapple tomatoes are the best!
Where'd you get the Appalachian t-shirt? I need one!
Mmm mmm .. I'll try this recipe. I usually do a multi grain bread, but this one would be great for buns too.
Looks yummy!
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻🌼
That was some really nice looking bread I bet it's awesome🤷♀️👍❤️💯
what type of flour self raising or plain flour please
We had our first frost 9/28. I've been covering my fall salad garden & pole beans, harvested remaining onions & radishes & carrots, any stems that had tomatoes on them got cut off, and I took them all down to the basement to finish ripening - been getting about ten every-other day so far. Then we got into the high 70s for highs & 50s for lows, so hoping the beans that are on the plants will have time to mature before 10/4, when we're supposed to get down into the 20s. Surprisingly, my everbearing raspberries weren't bothered by the light frost and are still producing, although they have slowed WAY down. I've extended my garden, filled that with the soil from containers I planted in this year, then topped old & new areas with composted manure, topped that with leaves, watered it all down with my 'fetid swamp water' fertilizer, then laid poultry netting over all to hold the leaves in place. Frankly, I'm about ready for a rest!
I am new to making bread. How do you keep it fresh for the next day to eat.
hugs from pam and john keep it coming on video way to go i love hold made bread i have bread maker
I am going to try, will let ya know. Thanks 😊
What did you guy.s spray your plants .with to get rid of bug s?.i had a problem with .and white.mold
How do you store your bread once you cut it?
The best thing I did this year was plant pumpkins, winter squash and other trailing large plants in areas that the spring plantings were done. The fall plantings grew and are keeping the garden weed free.
Our first light Frost was last night in NH. The Garden held up well so maybe we can get another week or two out of it. Tomatoes and Peppers are still growing
That BREAD recipe is OFF THE CHAIN DELISH! I have never been able to make a good loaf of bread in 20 some years and I have tried some (not tons but many) of times and was very disappointed in it never turning out. We watch your channel a lot and have tried many of your canning recipes and they have turned out great. So I watched this video to try making bread again and I kept watching and pausing (and rewinding much) the video many a times to make sure I did it exactly like you did. And then the final results blew my mind and the hubby gave it a million thumbs up and said please make more. Lol Can't wait to meet yous this weekend at the HOA conference to say thanks in person! 😊
I love adding a little bit of honey to my bread now. It just adds that little flavor kick!
How/where do you store your sandwich bread?
Jen, thanks for the bread recipe. I was wondering what flour you used. All purpose, self rising or bread flour? Thanks!! Blessings to you all.
