I think that's great. Pure economic is like good but what's really on the market right now is technical degrees and skills.
What if statistics is under your Econ major already
If you like those classes and want to dive deeper, consider a statistics minor.
what about cognitive science as a minor?
I am doing bachelor's in journalism and mass communication. I want to know, am i eligible for doing masters in economics & journalism?
What's difference between management economics and just economics?
Management will have a few businesses classes in it, and sometimes it's not as math intensive. But in other cases it could be a normal economics degree in the business school.
I am thinking of doing econ major with korean as my minor
If u just wanna learn korean language u can take it as a course in college and choose a much beneficial minor instead
I had a Philosophy minor since I unknowingly completed it.
@Apache Helichopper It was fun. If you have the chance to take Bioethics or something similar, take it. To me, that was the most fun.
Seems really interesting to relate economics with economics
I think Geography is also a good minor for Economic
You're the best
Thanks, and I hope to get better every week. I appreciate your support!
@@MarketPowerYT can you please make video on American Economis education system. I am an Indian and have no idea at what levels and at what topics are taught in America schools. I aspire to do my ms(postgraduation )in America thus if possible kindly give me basic idea , in comparing different schools.
@@vinayakansajeev I'll have to think through that one. Thanks for the suggestion.
I am doing economics and accounting...
I am saying while watching the video... Hope he talked about mine.😂😂😂
I am doing n interdisciplinary major in econ and finance. Would an international relations minor make sense with it?
International relations is a common companion. Do you need a minor? If not, just take classes you're interested in.
Can i be a financial analyst with an economics major if so what minor should i take?
You totally can. A lot of finance companies are looking for people with coding skills, so maybe something that will help you develop them.
@@MarketPowerYT what are your thoughts on a marketing minor with Econ? I know you mentioned it in the video but have you ever taken any marketing classes? How useful is it?
@@Lazymath007_ Good combo. You can use the analytics skills you get from economics and apply them to marketing. A lot of marketing is just behavioral economics.
@@MarketPowerYT Thank you so much! I just subscribed :D
@@MarketPowerYT Hi Professor , should I do Business Econ major with minor in Investment ( Concentration of Finance ), I want to go straight to work after grad and only want to go to graduate school 4-5 years after working in industry. Which kind of jobs do you think are best for me, thank you so much.
Is it possible to get a masters in economics if you got your bachelors in business administration?
Yeah, Masters programs accept from a broader selection of majors. The bigger issue is there aren't a lot of masters programs in economics.
How about minor in French
Vous pouvez le faire!
If I'm looking to go to graduate school as an econ student should I minor in math or comp sci? I like the job opportunities comp sci pulls but I heard that math is basically a requirement for grad school
It's true that math is a requirement. You might be able to get away with just taking the necessary classes. You have to do Calculus III and Linear Algebra, and most programs want you to do some form of Real Analysis (talk to your department). But there are a lot of math classes you don't need (e.g. Abstract Algebra). And on the margin I think the CS classes could be more valuable. Chat with an adviser and see what they say.
@@MarketPowerYT Thank you so much!!
Hi I'm an incoming freshman this year and I'll take an AB in Economics degree. Just curious, what are the implications of taking AB compared to BS in Economics? Is AB an inferior degree?
See my reply in the other video.
@@MarketPowerYT Thanks for the reply!! Just subbed to your channel, hoping for more content soon! :))
I took sociology as a minor (am I in good hands?)
Sociology matches that group at the end: minors that complement the intellectual curiosity. I took a sociology class and it helped me see how other disciplines examine the same issues as economists.
Market Power Thank you for the feedback. I highly appreciate it❤️
Do u think a minor in public health is good since healthcare economics is a growing field?
Yeah, that could be a great combination! I need to do a video on health economics.

Hello, Would you say adding math degree worth the stress? I am four classes away from my math major but I just have no interest in proof classes anymore. Instead, would minor in statistics be more useful? Thank you :)
you are a legend sir
So if I had majored in econ, I could've hooked up with minors? :P
your eye ball is scary!!!!
