I've always wanted a Damasko DA-46 (12 hour bezel), but it's discontinued. It looks like Damasko is discontinuing all of the models with the offset day date. I like the unique look of that complication. The new Damasko with the in-house movements don't look the same.
I'd pick the 104 but really would enjoy having both of course . I've a 556A as well as a DS-30 w/the same bracelet as you've shown and really enjoy them both . Lucky watches by any standard but recently purchased a Guinand Flight Engineer all bead blasted finish and it really is a relative masterpiece of a tool watch . Sinn acquired Guinand in the past of course and they are excellent watchmakers .
I have a Sinn 556a RS and the black case, lume dial DC57 from Damasko. Love them both. The "damset" PVD coating on the damasko is extremely durable, has taken some hits that would have left a mark on something stainless steel. The Sinn 556 probably runs 1-4 seconds fast a day, which is very impressive for being an off the shelf movement. They clearly regulate everything they put out.
The Sinn is a really special watch. I've spent the last few years buying Exploreresque type watches, all the way up to the Railmaster. All that time I was considering the 556A. Finally bought it a few months ago, and words can't describe how satisfied I am with it
@@anonymouswatchguy4223- Another thing that makes the Damasko so awesome is that even though the case diameter is smaller than the Sinn; the lack of a bezel allows for a larger dial making the Damasko appear to be a larger watch. ⌚😎🤙
Yeah, but the Sinn 556 is the actual comparable model to the Damasko here. And if just good old regular 316L steel is all you need...the Sinn is way more bang for the buck. I have the 556A, with the 12,3,6,9 numerals. Badass
Good video. I own both, and the Sinn lume does last longer. I prefer the Damasco, however, because the smooth-ish case back feels better on the top of my wrist.
Damasko DS30 was my first watch, it’s still in my collection and in fact I’m wearing it today. It’s the only watch throughout the years I have not sold. They are great watches
I am very suspicious of Damasko not having any review of their A26 mouvement put on timegrapher.... Sinn use Top grade mouvement which have been seen on timegrapher on multiple occasions.
@@azimcz Only a few models. The majority of Sinn's cases, including all their submarine steel cases, are made by SUG (Sächsische Uhren-technologie GmbH Glashütte). Sinn and Damasko's partnership also dissolved in 2002, so Damasko hasn't made any case for Sinn for over two decades now. Owner of Sinn is one of the three founders of SUG and the two companies are closely related (though Sinn does not influence SUG's independent business activities as SUG also makes cases for other watch companies), so in a way you could say Sinn makes their own cases, though that might be stretching it a little. SUG also makes cases for A. Lange & Söhne so you know their cases are incredibly high quality.
Glad to see someone talking about Dasasko. I feel like they got some time in the spotlight but deserve more
They need more love for sure
@@anonymouswatchguy4223 just tried to visit their site today seems the website is down. Hope their business is well

Guinand aren’t seen often in US definitely awesome watches thanks for watching

I like the Sinn.
Team both here! Thanks for the vid.
Thanks for watching
The Damasko for me.
1) Super contrast thus easy to read.
2) Getting sick of Dive bezels.
3) The bracelet.
4) The larger crown.
Good points

Good review. Subscribed !

i had a real bad experience with sinn so i would pick DAMASKO
Its sinn not zinn....
I have a Nomos Club Campus black dial and I’d pick that timepiece over the Sinn or the Damasko anytime of the day!
I like the Damasko
Excellent job in saying Stowa and Sinn correctly. I can't help but get irritated when they're not. It's a gift, and a curse lol
I pick the Stowa!
Can’t go wrong there either!

Sinn and twice on Sunday😊
ETA 2836-2 on Damasko day date

The Sinn just looks better to me.
For me Sinn does better watches but in this particular compare it is Damasko for me.
If I'm not mistaken, Damasko is manufacturing cases for Sinn for decades now, so saying one is better is kinda strange 😉

Sinn.
these two didn't impress me much, as long as i have a Seiko king turtle.
