    CORRECTION: Eddie, Louie’s father that made the pen knives passed away recently, not Crisostomo

    Just got my first balisong a few days ago. Got the simple open, basic open, chaplain, and reverse thumb roll over.
    The only martial arts I was able to learn where Filipino. Kun Tao, Kali.
    And while don't see a practical application for balisong, I love flipping my trainer. So glad the community has been so tight on YT. New sub gal. Keep flippin

    DAMn you got 50 and I only got ONE and I'm living in the Philippines. Really gotta step up my game huh? Although these things are hella cheaper than mainstream knives.

      Don’t feel bad; I’ve got a couple trainers and only one live blade. And actually the live one is my daughter’s so I really have zero. Keeps me from getting cut. 😅

    Really lovely knives there. Some of the tantos are positively massive! With most knives I favor the tanto blade, but with balisong I like the symmetry of spear point. That spear point one that’s double-sided at the tip but flat-back on the base is definitely my favorite.

      @@ArtSeaFlips that would be awesome. Just maybe one at random since there are quite a few materials used.

    Is it possible to get one of these in Texas? I don’t wanna go to the Philippines just to get a Balisong

    I'm very curious how you can travel aand bring back a balisong with you. To send in the mail would make me terribly worried about all that transit.. ya know?

    • @ArtSeaFlips
      @ArtSeaFlips  7 місяців тому +1

      They were all mailed, and when I travel there I will just ship it back in my bag, I think that will be safe. Getting it mailed to you though is risky

    It’s not albino horn. It is abalone from a sea shell.

    The oldest known balisong is from France or England . The Spanish used them on their ships and that is the first record of a balisong but they don’t know if they got the idea from phillapeans or the Philippines got it from the Spanish. It was used because when closed the brass handles would not spark like steel and blow up the powder kegs on the cannon decks.

      Regardless, of what you have said, Philippines still has the rights and all the credits with the BALISONG for its popularity. Acknowledge it, just like the Karaoke machine was invented by a Filipino man, not by a Japanese.
