  • Continuing my beginner's adventures in building my first KATO N gauge model railway, here's the latest additions to my rolling stock collection. A diesel shunter kit and some log carrying flatcar wagons!

    The Kato chassis are a joy to run. Smooth and reliable. I have several of the BMR products and agree, they aren't perfect but can be made to look pretty good. Can you list any other places to get bodies for the Kato chassis? Budget Model Railways are the only ones I have found. Cheers.

    I had the same idea for my o6 chassis... 3d printed a steam tram Ho/009 n plus some fillers for the trucks to carry for christmas

    Not diesel but these chasis also lend themselves to steam trams
    Which are easily scratch built for variety

    love your videos but sorry that 3dd print is terrible if it was resin print it would be spot on if this is resin its still terrible

      Yep, it's not great. Though I would only say this now I've had a little more experience of making my own first 3D model shunter myself. This model - from BMR - gave me a reference mark of where to start so I can't be too critical... And, yes - at this scale resin is the way to go! LOL Thanks for your feedback.
