Never thought I would ever buy a 4 cylinder again and then I test drove this and purchased it. It is a mind blower. I drive an escalade and gives me all the bells and whistles. I am believer now in Audis. Great review.
One thing I want in the Q5 are these sport seats that your tester has. It is very hard to find a 22 or 23 Q5 with these seats. If I’m not mistaken with these seats come with the sport suspension, which makes you feel less of the road vs the ones with the regular seats.
They are wonderful vehicles to own. I've had a 2015 Q5 and I just got a 2023 Q5 with same options like the one showed in the video with only difference being that mine is gray.
Interesting no heated rear seats. It’s a German luxury car so I’m sure heated rear seats are a part of some $1500 “Cold Weather Package”. Meanwhile on a Hyundai Sante Fe…
Is this the same as a standard premium plus q5? I see your test vehicle has the black optic and maybe some other options? The blue looks nice! Nice to know there’s not too much lag when accelerating. What kind of maintenance do you think I’d have to keep track of on this Audi? I used to have a German car then went Japanese but now want to go back to German or European car.
the same, the Q3 is a compact suv similar, to a Rav4 or CRV. the Q5 is a mid size suv similar to a Ford Edge. now obviously those cars don't compete with these, but im just referring to size purposes.
I had a 2019 Q5 first year the belly pan fell off 3 times. The service department told me to use a twist tie to hold it up. He said it was stronger than the original way it was installed. Also on 5 k miles the oil light came on it needed oil 5 k miles earlier than service today be done. Then someone hit me the air bag went off of strong break both of my arms. BEWARE
@keska01 only three weeks into it and 730 miles. To be determined. I live a couple hundred miles from the nearest Genesis dealer, unfortunately. So I'll have my local mechanic service it out of pocket. That's a big bummer.
@keska01 you just need to provide documentation from where you had routine maintenance services performed. If it's warranty work then you're right it has to go to a Genesis authorized dealer. I have a local Hyundai dealer that doesn't sell Genesis, and they will not perform warranty work for Genesis. That sucks.
it probably is a package, he kinda goofed up. S line means higher engine choice, this is just a Q5 with the S line package, but it doesn't change the engine. it's more of a styling tweak, that also might explain the seats in his tester. if it was a real Q5S trim, the engine would be higher, and those features that are extras on this car, would be standard.
@@peterprimes497 I thought just about everything was going for above sticker/MSRP right now because of the microchip shortage; low inventories; or inflation. If I'm wrong, maybe it's time for me to talk to a car salesman.
I like Audis but I really really don’t like the Q5. It doesn’t do anything particularly exceptionally well. It’s too small for my tastes, not enough cargo room. The audio system sounds terrible, on screen menu navigation is almost cryptic compared to previous generations, auto start stop has an unpleasant shake when the gas engine shuts off , the center console controls are ever so slightly differently placed on each Audi model … drive mode select was just better leaving it alone… honestly only saving grace was the cluster display for the gauges ..: bright and vibrant. Couldn’t wait to give the service loaner back…
I agree with you. I do like Audis and I am in the market for a SUV, but the Q5 does not do it for me. I don't like it and I agree, it is too small and it doesn't have much of a presence on the road.
sure and a mcdonalds will be hot and taste how you expect. but then you eat in a michelin starred restaurant and you realise what having money gets you

@iceplanetchris2052 how do you find it 9 months after? You have the mhev?
I really love this All-new blue 2023 Audi Q5.
Terrific job with your videos as always Ben.

Glad you reviewed this !
Watching this on the big screen 🙌

Great review on the Q5! Love the Audi!
How is the long term reliability for q5 compared to q3 ? And also are there big differences between the two ?

@@Jeymez nope, Q5 is similar in size to RAV4, Q3 is closer to CR-H. Honestly Q3 is pretty small, no wonder that is called city crossover
The tag on your key fob says (2022) so which is it, is this a 22 or a 23 ? 2:37

This is the stuff of nightmares. Do you still drive an Audi?
Thanks for the review Ben!
German cars look and handle great. But long-term reliability is a concern for me. I've decided to go with the Korean GV70 3.5. I'm hoping it pans out.
only bad things I heard about the GV70 was the service and some electronics reliability ? How's it for you so far?

How much over MSRP are Q5's going for now? I vowed that I would never pay over sticker for a new car, so I might be SOL for a while.
They're still trying for premiums on standard vehicles?.

I recently went to test drive at Audi in CA and they said the Q5s don’t have markups, but the SQ5 does because it uses more chips.

A much cheaper, more reliable Toyota Corolla will outlast any German vehicle. I know because I've owned both. German cars are nothing but money pits.
Yeah … Toyota Corollas are nice … 🤨
