Looks fantastic! One suggestion for your next (replacement) canvas bag would be to use French seams: sew the seams on the outside, the flip it inside out and sew them again. This leaves your cut edges of fabric fully enclosed and less likely to fray or lose stringy bits in your bag. I will definitely be making one of these this week to go on my "Moiraine" style belt/holster/external pocket thing, which I also plan on making this week while camping 😆 Thanks again!
Thank you so much! I am making 2 of them for my husband and I but doing it all hand-sewn (we do medieval reenactment so I am doing the leather sewn too
Hey David! We didn't get that video done but plan to be back making content soon! We can add it to the list. Its really just rubbing wax onto the canvas and melting it in with with heat gun. Easy breezy. We generally use a 1/2 beeswax, 1/2 paraffin mix. Just rub it dry on the canvas and then heat it until it soaks into the canvas. Do it as many times as you wish. We generally do about 5 solid rounds. Hope this helps! Thanks for checking out our content!
No problem! I would say it was in the neighborhood of 5-6 oz. It's such a forgiving build, you can go with about any thicker leather! Thanks for stopping by!

Hi there, Hope you are doing well. Did you ever make the video on waxing canvas? Could you point me in any specific directions to do this?
