Shame that Gainax let their greed become their undoing.
It is not exactly a Gainax IP, but I'd like to see a complete adaptation of Kare Kano. Hideaki Anno directed the anime adaptation at Gainax and JC Staff in the late '90s, but the anime didn't cover all of the manga and it didn’t have a proper ending. Now, I think most of the issues came from the fact that the mangaka didn’t like how Anno adapted her work, but I really enjoyed the anime
Honestly I don't think Kare Kano needs to go to the manga ending route. After where the anime leaves off it gets really bad
The anime elevated the source material by a lot. Anno’s influence is what made it great. If they remade it without him, it would lack a lot of what made it special.

It is a absolute shame that Gainax turned out like it did. If you watch their early work, particularly Otaku no Video, you can see how the studio started off as just a bunch of people who loved anime and were passionate about creating it. The scene where all the characters are gushing over the upcoming release of Macross DYRL really stood out to me because that's surely a reflection of the staff.
It's good that Anno now owns whatever was left of Gainax. He was a founder and was responsible for their biggest hit. Better him owning it than some soulless corporation.

Now this is my theory on the future studio GAINAX okay what if Bandai bought studio GAINAX ? Imagine Bandai own studio GAINAX hell Bandai owns sunrise studio so why not GAINAX.
After having seen GamerFox24601's video on Bandai, I'd be very wary of them handling the studio or "IPs".

@@JLCL01 Bandai is far from perfect, but they are also far from being the worst. I trust Bandai significantly more than I do with any American entertainment company.
Bandai already produces the majority (if not all) of Eva toys and models and I think that's what they want the most.
Why would Bandai buy Gainax if all the relevant IPs are hold by Trigger, Production I.G and Studio Khara and Gainax itself does not have a workforce of specialists to create more anime?

It's now the dominant way of producing TV anime. These generally consist of advertisement networks, distribution companies, TV studios, music companies, merchandise companies, overseas licensees, and streaming companies.
