- Welcome to this English lesson about hobbies and pastimes! As an English learner, you'll want to be able to talk about your hobbies and pastimes if you are in an English conversation. Hobbies and pastimes are the things we do for fun, or to relax when we're not working or in school.
In this English lesson I'll help you learn some new English vocabulary and I'll teach you some English phrases to talk about things like stamp collecting, astronomy, sewing, reading, and many more hobbies.
This English class will focus on hobbies that ARE NOT sports! That would be an other whole lesson entirely!
I hope you enjoy this English lesson about hobbies and pastimes!

Have a great weekend! My dad used to do juggling and he made a telescope (really big) and we could watch the sky at night. He also made a bacon cooker out of small mirrors, using the rays of the sun as the source of fire.
my hobbies nowadays only learning English and cruising on UA-cam and playing a board game with my mom. (We used to play chess and a few kinds of card game in my childhood). We use squares on a boar, the goal is to fill a line and if it is filled, I get points and I can step with a small square on a board.

Hello mr Bob. I really like this subject. Due the pandemic I spend all my time on my hobbies, and your english lessons are number 1 :)! In my childhood I use to play piano very well. Thanks for the video. I heard so many new hobbies to try ) Btw, I used to be into building construction kits (like Lego) when I was a child. What's more, I still have all of these sets) I think it may be a hobby as well) And the guy who suggested you piloting a drone (especially when there is a cam on there) definitely has a point. You should try it!

I think I speak at a B1 level, and often jump up to B2 or C1 depending on what section I'm in. When I introduce the word, probably B1, and then lots of B2 and C1 when I talk about it more.
And we are doing cross word puzzle too. I forgot to mention. I also do cross word puzzle in English. The cross word puzzle is an easy one but I hope one day I progress in English and can do a harder one.

Hi I am a fan from Thailand. I have not been good in sport since I was young. I have many friends but I always have private time then I like to do what I can go alone as handcrafting things , cooking , reading, planting and sketching . Yes. ..as the amature doing the experiment . I don't feel as I am the specialist or expert in any 😅but i really enjoy doing new thinqgs. Problem is in my house we don't have workshop or good tools only old . I like diy scraps to be useful because I dislike so many garbages left. I believe our world will be better if we use everything for the most value and zero waste. Lacking of resource and food can cause the fighting as our population is over. Also when i was studying I liked collecting stamp, phone card, buddha amulet, movie postcard and letter. I think everything relate to memories that why they are important to me. I like playing kite too we will play in April here as the windy season. I prefer growing my food too I try to grow them as organic as I can I think it is the way to live healthy and good in saving so.
