Josh I love you couldn’t be anymore wrong about James Franklin if he loses to OSU. It’s going to be an absolute meltdown by fans, every year people are calling for his head.
The model thinks the line is wrong... but the model is what would the spread be, so the spread and model not matching means your model is broken. Same with LSU / A&M last weekend. The model is low on A&M for some reason this year. I think it puts too much weight on efficiency stats, which ignore red zone scoring, red zone prevention, and time of possession, which A&M has been very strong on all year.

It has been wrong on A&M all year long regardless of outcome, which he explains ad nausea is not the point. Model matched result, but not the vegas line. PSU fan here. I can’t consider the OSU/PSU game a rivalry game until PSU starts to win more games against OSU. PSU always plays them tough but that doesn’t matter. Until they start to win more, it’s just a bug game on the schedule.

Tennessee has only faced one truly ranked opponent all year, and they faced that opponent at home. They've only put up an average of 21.5 PPG against ALL their SEC competition thus far with their "high powered offense". I can't see Tennessee doing any better than 10-2 on the season. 9-3 if Kentucky's defense actually comes to play ball, and holds them to 17 or less. And they also are @ Vanderbilt for their rivalry game. This may be the first time in recent history that they get beat by Vandy, and go 8-4 in the regular season. That would be crazy. If that does happen, then i guarantee you Josh Heupel will be at risk of being fired this year. He's had such good offenses these past few years, and can't seem to do anything different with them. They go 4-6 games and look like the best team in the league, then drop a game, and the rest of their season goes in the toilet.
