- Yep, I managed to get a HPI Clear, non crashed Audi TTRS for nearly half of the market value. Now to decide what to do with it..

I'd love to see the following on this:
1. Exhaust set up from the 8v PFL
2. DAZA turbo upgrade and probably stage 2/3.
3. Maybe go down the forged route for the pistons and conrods if they're a CP weakness.

Nice one man! And yeah it was definitely cheap even for U.K. standards. Normally they bottom out around 10-11 for running non crashed examples like this

If you keep this until the summer, then bring it down here to Devon on a sunny day and do some exploration. Some of the roads are literally perfect for convertibles when the weather is right, especially in a 5 cylinder Quattro. That would make for some great content.

Great vid I had b6 s4 and had same problem not starting and when it did it cut out engine speed sensor sorted it great car for price mate worth every penny

Hi mate don’t know if you noticed but it stated in that invoice from 2010 it has black leather seats, it also has black door card leather which shows it was originally black so those are replacement seats

That is a Bargain, that 5 cylinder engine is epic in the RS models, worth every penny.
"Sketchy No 1" : She blows from only one pipe... and she blows like they all do - smokeyhh!! - mainly as it'll be drinking oil.. :-) Oh the fun to be had mucking about with TFSI engines.. Turbo ok? cough.. How's the clutch? The head will be covered in more carbon deposits around the intake valves than you'd find down a coalmine, it'll eat fuel.. stuff will break with predictable predictability... I still kinda like 'em - but I hate working on 'em. :-)

I've always liked the TT since they came out, I liked even when said was a hair dressers car and to this day the original still looks amazing.
I'd absolutely love a go in the TTrs
The stiff gearbox is the oil in it. Its thick when cold and thinner when it warms up I changed mine recently to some good stuff thin when cold and warm gearbox feels much better now.
How much per litre and which brand did you use?
@@scitec717 can't remember exactly how much I payed. But there's some on amazon type in titan sintofluid sae 75W-80. Liqui moly do some good stuff too.

Lovely car, why does the exhaust gas only exit from the right pipe and not both? Is the left just for show to complete the symmetry look.

Really nice car I’ve always loved the roadster just as much as the Coupe. The rear seats in the coupe are pretty much useless so practicality wise between them it’s splitting hairs.
This cars got to be a restore project. Get it up to standard mechanically and visually e.g. bodywork, interior restore.
Accelera ditch finders! change them asap as they are truly awful in the wet!
Boost it to the max and wheels Splitters etc .Nice TTRS
Yeah it would weigh a bit more and have less rigidity than a Coupe but you can improve the Rigidity yourself with a bit of mods and the weight difference isn't that much, it's 1510kg compared to 1450kg still lighter than a MK8.
I would put gated shifter from an R8 in it though.

That trim being off near the bonnet release... Bonnet release is fragile on these cars, I snapped mine after picking one up not to long ago and then finding out it's a common issue
