@@Foxedup sure thing. I got a channel too. I appreciate comments, so I comment on others good videos. Getting ready to put my freshly rebuilt motor back in my Mustang “Project Stang” 😂 But I like what you did here. My car also has no A/C or smog pump. Lots deleted. About to try to do some wire tucking. You got a good video on that?
Its always amazed me how no matter how many times i have pulled on that vacuum tree on both of my 5.0s to pull hoses off or fix something after 30 sometimes years they haven't broken yet, musta been really good plastic, lol
LOL yes. I’m confused myself sometimes! It’s not an “Altered Fox” channel, so I talk about the products it like I’m a customer. Not sure if that’s the right way to approach it, but it seems to be working so far. 😉
So I don't have one going to my BAP sensor. I have an 89. I just have one for source, one for brake booster, one for fuel pressure, one for EGR, and then one on the front of the intake or the PCV. The one for my BAP is capped off. Is this a problem? It was like that when I bought it and I don't have any noticable issues or codes. Smog pump and solenoids are removed.
Nice vid and looks like something I would want to do to my fox. I have a question did you eliminate your evap system or is that something you can’t do?
I'm finally reinstalling my '87 LX's upper intake manifold (car's been down for 3 years! basically due to a broken TC bolt and life). Anyway, I bought my car when brand new, so I know it's never had cruise control, but I'm confused because I see a hose that passes thru the driver's side inner fender that's not currently connected to anything in the engine bay. In a different foxbody youtube video, a guy says that's where the speed control vacuum hose comes from. (Would Ford have installed that hose at the factory on cars without that option just on the chance someone might add cruise later?) The fitting marked S/C on my vac tree is capped off. I didn't remove the vac tree when I removed my UIM, so I don't think I would've pulled this hose from the S/C fitting and capped it when I removed the UIM. Anyone have an idea where that hose is supposed to be connected, if at all?
No sure, but I suppose they could install the hose on every car on the assembly line regardless of whether or not it’s scheduled for cruise. Maybe it’s capped off somewhere under the dash? It usually connects by the brake pedal (see my brake light switch video).
@@Foxedup no worries man, I have been following you Fox restorers pretty close because everything you guys do, I'll likely have to do if not now, eventually
I have a question I'm getting ready to order the tree delete kit for my car smog pump is already gone and smog lines caped if I do the tree delete can I get rid of the egr valve noticed a vacume line is going to that also ?
That vacuum is just one part of removing the EGR. There will also be holes to block off on the EGR spacer. You can find plates for that on eBay. Then there’s the wiring plug. You can just leave it unplugged but it may throw a light on your dash. Altered Fox also has a fix for that wiring but is usually unavailable. Hopefully more will be made this week though.
@@Foxedup yea I want to get rid of unnecessary vacume lines and egr when you start the car it idles rough and runs Rich like burning your eyes when you stand next to the car
Lmfao yes yes and yes. My fox was running rich bc It had a wrong ECU in it. Now I found a missing header bolt and a whole missing vacuum line under the mani.. lol headache
If you look back through some of my old videos, I talk about those. Maybe the smog delete video, maybe also the passenger side wire tuck video too. I think the smog delete video may have a link in the summary to a follow-up video.
@@Foxedup I did a smog delete then I put a new water pump pulley on and a new harmonic balancer and a used alternator automatic tensioner and now my short belt squeaks all the time so I got a idle pulley for the smog and seems like I lost power or from the lines I messed up on the strut tower
That's such an easy setup or fix if your vacuum tree is cracked/leaking. Thanks! 🦊🤍
Yeah it was a little intimidating when I first started removing things a few years ago, but it’s really a pretty simple system.
@@Foxedup Thanks for making it easy ‼️ ‼️
Excellent video and explanation! Your engine bay is spotless!! Great job🤙🏼🏁
Hey Paul D, thank you. Ive seen your standards, so that means a lot!

@@Nine_Finger_Wrenching yep I’ve got two videos for the wire tucks. One for the left and one for the right.
Good Video and clean engine bay. Where is the line off your pcv valve going.
By now nearly all these cars need a complete vacuum line replacement or elimination
So true 😞
what do you have done with your screen and pcv valve on back of lower intake?

I don’t think one is needed for the BAP in the mass air cars.

Yeah tell me about it. I need to get an external mic for my phone. 😬
Do the older foxes also have a vacuum tree IE my 1985? I'll have to look because my idle is garbage right now
