At 25:30 you couldn't queue units because you had surplus unit production from your quest reward. The reward finished the 2 you had already in production then had enough to start and finish the next two you tried to build. Which led to you having 4 units ready immediately.
How pleasing to see you playing AOW 4! I followed many of your XCOM2 seasons and I'm glad to see AOW 4 is also in your area of expertise! Expecting to see fine tuned optimizations :)
Odd, just something I saw from other streamers. When you decide which new regions to annex, the size of the icon shows you how much impact that improvement will have in that region. You kept building farms in the desert for example. While you had a fertile region just north of the city, which also had sheep, which would have raised the farms impact even more there.

You may know this, but the size of the city structure icon signifies how much of that resource it gives. Sometimes a structure may provide other benefits, like a farm on a tile with cattle may cut the build time on a city building.
I was worried when the narrator said tome, that Odds proud pronunciation would be lost…I was happily rewarded with a tomb 10 seconds later. And I’ll tell you what’s soothing, those sweet Canadian vocals! I’m going to go with Moose Jaw, it was my first favorite beer as well!

If there is one way to make me care about a whole fictional civilization with only one decision... Just make them cat people, that's it. Really interesting introduction, I'm wanting to see what happens after that cliffhanger! 😁

Funny/crazy making that at the start of this video the voice actor at 4:23 reads the word "Tome" correctly (sounds like home, Rome), our beloved Mr Odd at 4:59 reverts to his usual mistake of reading "Tome" as tooom, hahaha :D And he had just gotten so good at correcting mistake that while playing Vampire Survivors!
I don't think there's much point in taking your main hero; give him (her?) lots of +magic stuff and then give him an xbow. Pretty sure your Evoker's robes would affect that magic ball's magic damage too (although I grant maybe not; but the xbow definitely won't benefit from it). Also, I think the xbow only attacks once, whilst your magic orb is a repeating attack. Whispering Stones is a strange mechanic, it sounds less like 'negotiatons' and more insidious mind control lol. Take that Estoc guy from the nearest free city stealing all your claimed sectors, he and his followers left because they dislike your tribe's approach to magic; you give them a shiny stone and in a couple of turns time they are loyal vassals again? Even their name sounds insidious and I love it. I am quite looking forward to the 2nd when it comes out (well, for me it'll more likely be the 3rd because Australia can't have things released on local time through Steam)
I was a long time fan fo the franchise since Age of Wonders 2: The Wizards t hrone. Spent so many hours , days and endless time on it. Fond memories. Aoe 2 just didnt do it for me, and sadly, neither did Aoe 4. YOu do a good job playing though. Hope you are enjoying the gameplay ^~^ Be well.
