Honestly, I think this makeup artist made such a good job of your face, Judy and I think it's all the better because it's understated. There's no 1970s blue eye-shadow, there's no plastered on eyeliner and no Aunt Sally bright red cheeks, she's emphasised every one of your features with such care, but very subtly and I think that really does show her skill. To me, after this makeover you truly reminded me of a young Kate Bush, but without your hair lacquered out to the sides. Yes, the lip colour was a little bright but it's definitely not as bad as some of the ones you've been to in the past - and she was so, so respectful, checking things with you before she did them. We don't know what it was that caused her to be late for your appointment but I think she more than made up for it with the care and attention that she gave to you and your face.
also this shouldn't even have to be praised, but the fact that you refused to "pay extra" and she still treated you so nicely, with such pleasant communication, that's a cherry on top! it looks gorgeous.
She knew how to compliment the features without going overboard. It's a beautiful everyday kind of look. Could she have gone more glam? Sure. What she did was understated but beautiful.
I think this makeup artist did an excellent job overall!! She took time to properly prep your skin, actually used foundation that MATCHED your skin tone, and used the perfect amount of product to enhance your natural beauty without going overboard. I would have liked to have seen a more toned down, neutral lip with this look, but that is the only critique!
She was such a lovely person. It really seemed like she cared about you; taking her time to meticulously apply and blend the products. Also, she was very transparent about the price and which services were an extra charge (i.e. serum ampules). I'm going watch this video again as ASMR before bed. I know not everyone likes hearing people but communication really does work wonders. Judy looked so comfortable and the MUA threw positive comments her way or asked questions rather than insults. I love it. Made me think of when you’re training for CNA, or patient centered jobs you’re told to talk / explain to the patient before just doing something.

You can always tell by how nice the salon is, that the makeup artist will, at a minimum, be a trained makeup artist. True makeup artists know that you can’t control flinching when something is coming at your eye and that sometimes you just need a break. I think you look beautiful!

I'm unsure if it was just lighting but it did look like maybe your nose was t fully blended at the end and one the bridge but I noticed towards the end she did do a little more work on in it, it just seemed like you could see lines of make up and on the end it didn't look like it was all covered and you could see your natural skin. That’s so important to make sure the client is comfortable. Let them blink! If only she used hygienic application for everything, she would have been perfect. This is the best one yet! She could have just done gloss on the lips instead of lipstick but the eyes are amazing! And I love that she didn’t just make up her mind how she wanted to do it at the beginning and then do what ever she wanted. She asked what you thought about it and it turned out wonderful! We had way worse in the 80's. But nothing is as bad as the mid 2000's concealer lips.

it was translated as “bright,” but the makeup artist said luminoso, so more like glowy & luminous. which is what Judy got and she looked great!
