Cummins diesel hoooray! awesome guys. I had a bro who ran a 35 foot salmon boat with a 225 slant six dodge gas for a wee bit way back in the day, lobster traps, clam digging, roller coaster wave riding... Yeeehaa! turned me into a cowboy!
@cisjohn2616 yeah ours went out about 4:30 sunday afternoon for a few mins then came back on then no more than 10 mins after that went out again and stayed out till about 2 pm yesterday
I'm glad your boat is ok after hurricane Irene hit. Do you always put your boats onshore when there is danger of a hurricane, or only when it's the bad ones? And is the boat still safe onshore?
Did you guys lose any strings??? A freind of mine is a crabber outta Cape May and he lost a string 20 pots.......Hope you guys losses are low too......My bud lost about a grand, but he had over 300 pots in the water............................L&B
@nonfatalfonso ....The video doesn't do the waves much justice....There was some huge rollers coming in but the boat rises with no referance point on the horizon so it doesn't look that bad on film.
@Luna7ick .....No...I was hoping they weren't....Sometimes on a real bad storm the lobsters i killed in the traps form being tossed around.....We found very few dead ones !
Years ago we pitched in on some Maine lobster from some locals shipped here to ABQ in seaweed. I was alot younger but I remember a backyard steaming underneath the seaweed. Never seen that done before, is it a traditional thing??
@kookiemoose I remember that storm too...I was fishing with thewakey420's father then and the gear took a thrashing...Killed most everything in the traps !
I remember that 92 storm I think, "the perfect storm". I was on Bailey Island. The breakers the next morning were fucking obliterating the shore, it was like nothing I'd ever seen. Giant breakers crashing. Still, I cant believe you were out the next morning in this mess. A bit choppy.
Man I hate pulling gear in shit like that . . its so uncomfortable and so easy to run on top of someone elses buoy and get some line in the wheel.....ughhhh...but its necessary after being laid down for a week or so , gotta get out there and pull some gear and make some dough....Great vid ! FISH OR DIE

if you don’t know how to use a camera, and you don’t, don’t post this crap. Be a fishing captain, let someone else video.
And you can fucking kiss my ass!
I see waves as tall as Sally Island on a good blow.
