Wow. I can’t believe I only discovered this film in 2024! And I’m Canadian! They should have advertised and promoted the fuck out of this back in 2019. This should have been something major and apart of pop-culture. It truly is a gem. And not just the story and acting but down to the soundtrack .. the music resonated with me, everything was so tastefully done
Loved this story and characters. You won’t be sad the gay kid doesn’t get his guy at the end, because if you are gay, you remember what it was like growing up and how rare and precious a friend who loved and accepted you for who you were/are is, and that’s what this movie is about
A very in depth, thought provoking, heartbreaking comin of age movie that is ultimately uplifting.

Why movies and shows that support the idea of toxic couples and abusive relationships are insane and honestly annoying. Unlike most shows/movies. This is showing kids you don’t need to be get with someone who’s toxic in order to be happy
