Carnitas Ramirez is definetely fantastic ! My grandparents who died 40 years ago had pigs and also used all parts of them. It's some kind of childhood rememberance. And the friendly guys of Carnitas prepare them also super well ! ❤
8 Bit Bites definitely looks like a place I need to check out, I didn’t even know it existed, but I’ll have to pop in next time I’m in the East Village. The food looked good enough, but I would definitely go more for the experience and the games. Pastasole looked good to me. Is there better, more “authentic” pasta in the city? Of course, but those places are not going to be $9 per serving lol. Chocolate on Tap is great, I had it the other day and now I’m wanting it again lol
Jon, great and informative video. Also, while this comment is off topic, well it's food related, it was very cool to see you in Mark Wolters 12 Days of Christmas video at Rudy's. You're everywhere!
Hi guys. The food looks good. I want to try the chicken at 8 bit. Nice 80s and 90s retro arcade. Strawberries and chocolate are okay. Maybe, I should try the pasta sometime.
I’m planning for a solo trip to NYC in May for 7 days. Is 5,000 dollars a reasonable budget? I want to see a broadway show the first night(Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), the Empire State Building, the One World Trade Center, the 9/11 memorial/museum, and I want to do the city climb. Other than that, I want to eat a lot of good food and plenty of sight seeing. I plan to go to Queens to see the Spider-Man house from 2002, and I will go to Brooklyn from there to walk the Brooklyn bridge back to manhattan. For hotels, I was looking at Hotel 57 or the Artezen. Are these decent hotels? They were the most budget friendly hotels I could find in Manhattan. Any other recommendations would be appreciated. Also, I’m still unsure how to book tickets for broadway shows and the attractions I want to do in advance. Tips on that will be appreciated as well as I don’t want to buy the wrong things. Any other tips and recommendations would be appreciated.
Within a normal restaurant/bar calculation there would be 35,- cents for the material for a 1,-$ tacco 🥴, or they earn they earn the money with the drinks = at the end the tacco is not for 1,-$...
You guys are considering value but gave the chicken sandwich only a 7.5? Where are you gonna get sandwich that decent with only 7 bucks in the East Village?
2:17 - 7.0 score is at the 6.0 position. 6:56 - 6.5 score is at the 5.5 position. 9:12 - 7.1 score is just after the 6 position. 10:30 - 7.5 score is before the 7 position.
So, overrated is definitely the wrong word here lol, im two restaurants in and both look like 10/10s....id change overrated to overhyped or just popular lol
I was under the impression you couldn't touch food with bare hands if it wasn't going to be cooked? The birdbox is assembling that sandwich with no gloves. Touches the sandwich and pickles with barehands. If sushi chefs have to wear gloves so should this guy.

Very fun watch, like the format. 10 outta 10😁
Visiting NYC this weekend for the first time, gonna try one of these for sure. Thanks!
$14 for strawberries with chocolate?!
It’d New York Buddy what you want more
I paid $20 for one smoothie and cookie
That's horrible and the positive review lost all credibility.
Same as London... ripoff!
It’s kinda the same in the uk just sucks that they don’t have a dark chocolate option 😢

@@HereBeBarr it’s a great price for a bowl of pasta that’s probably going to fill you up for a good bit of the day lol
I wonder how Nintendo will react.

@@knlei1Well considering that they’re letting people play on emulators I’m surprised they’re still in business

Jon I'm telling you I'm looking forward to my next visit to NYC !
How much hamburger grease gets into those controllers? Better bring some wet naps!
Seriously like the content and format.
If I had gotten that chicken sandwich I would have asked them to chop the claw off before giving it to me EEK
Barr, I love it in that you give your "NO HOLDS BARR CRITIQUE".The truth shall set us free. Barr does not suck up to any food establishment.
This was so much fun!!!!!
Thanks for joining Mike!

I like the pasta the best. The arcade establishment was pretty awesome too. Cheers, Jon! 👍👍✌️
Hey Jon, have you ever ate at that spot that serves Cold Coco? It’s a 1950s style cafe located in Manhattan.
I haven't!
I've been to that chocolate spot in Union Square. So good! Sad I'll be missing the Christmas Markets this year ;_;
Drop me at the pork place! Fabulous! 🐷 👍🏻
Yes so good
Loved them all, except the one with the chicken leg hanging out….no..just no for that one 😂😂😂❤❤❤
Pizza hut in Paramus, 😢. The route 17 one? Sad times. Miss it.
Indeed
I absolutely have no desire to eat a sandwich with a leg sticking out of it. Gross.
@10:39 all I see is the Mjolnir, the Hammer of Thor 😂
Please make a video about your favorite USA only candy / sweets
My bro worked at that Pizza Hut now a Shake Shack!!!!

€18 for a chicken 🍗 😮
What an inventive show totally different. Enjoyed but oh boy that chicken leg yuck look. Thanks again for the fun
The best Mexican place I visited was in Woodstock and Seattle 😮
Tacos always win! Theres a spot in Brooklyn called "Tiny's Cantina". They had the best Birria tacos I've had in a while!

In our youth turns out we both gamed out at the Paramus CC by the Bergen Towne Center
I’m literally vegan I just love watching people review stuff
$5 tacos are insane. Come to California for $1 Taco Tuesdays
For me was much more then ok. One must also see the quality and choice.

That, er, leggy chicken 'wich was a sight to behold!
Always trust where construction and local workers eat

I’m sorry but reviewing chocolate covered strawberries isn’t something to put in the video we all know they are delicious lol
I used to go to that Pizza Hut all that time for my book points for free pizza.
So, overrated is definitely the wrong word here lol, im two restaurants in and both look like 10/10s....id change overrated to overhyped or just popular lol
$13 for a bit of pasta??!?! That's insane.
More desertsss
Great!
The pasta looked overcooked which is a shame as value was good.
Good info
Everything now is im gonna review somebody that reviewed something.
I mean, it's a little overpriced, think it could've been better....7.5!
Lol classic positive Americans 😂
Great prices
How is the marshmallow/hot cocoa $8 but strawberries dipped in chocolate sauce $14?? Pinche NYC! Nice work!
ahahah
"Cheap pasta"
$9 and $12 price tags.
I'm sorry, that's considered cheap?
Yeah in New York it is
@@coopersherman207 You guys really are becoming the next Hong Kong.

since social media, I no longer believe those points handed out by idiotic influencers. ( not you two)
$5 per taco? wtf
Barr, do you finish each meal, or just take a few bites for the camera? Eating each meal in totality would be more legitimate, don't you think?
Katz’s deli overrated !
Mmmm... halal. Taste the cruelty without even a bacon consolation prize.
Tacos look/ sound 🤢
heathcare won't cover you after all that eating
A holiday market would be next to a beach during the hot summer months when people go on holiday that’s called a Christmas market 🤦🏼🤷🏼
I just came back from 6 days at NY. It was worth every penny and every second I spent there. What an amazing place.
Mate, when served with "French fries" as chunky as that, just overcome your Americanisms and call them what they are, chips.
PORK BUTT ISNT THE PIG'S BUTT you literally showed the photo of the cuts lol
gross
not being funny but i'm not taking recommendations from ppl on ThickTok
2nd that
Can just talk about "Carnitas Ramirez": they were also in a "New York Times" ranking.
