Forgot to add, my favorite manifestation of dwarf grudge keeping is when you're allied with two dwarf factions that go to war with each other and you can only honour one alliance. The later they confederate and stack their grudges, so now they all hate you. Worse yet if you wanted to stay out of it, that's a double grudge.
8:45 you forgot to mention dwarf catapult is called grudge throwers because it throws rocks with grudges inscribed on them at the enemy. They literally throw massive "FU" at the enemy.

Used to be part of the Empire until during a civil war, where they just straight up recognised the closest claimant to the throne and then promptly seceeded and bribed him into accepting their secession and declare it legal. It, uh, it's really pissed off the rest of the Empire ever since. But Marienburg itself is basically a Venice-style archipelago city and has a bigger navy then the Empire, so they can't really do shit about it and the Marienburgers just sit there and make money.

I think the big boon of using warhammer as an ip, is that the whole thrust of a setting based around a wargame kind of REQUIRES each faction and indivigual unit to be interesting enough to buy and compelling enoughto collect an army. so by necessity, over decades, gw had to make interesting, unique, consolidated stuff that just so happened to translate perfectly to an rts. even if you don’t care about stuff outside of the game, I think that shows. dont know why im here anyways, I just play the janky medieval 2 mod.
Finally it is completeeee! It was cool to see the final product come together after watching you work on it on stream (Also it took me until this video to finally realize warhammer and warhammer 40k are related…)
I love this game. The game where you have dark elves which have slaves and bully everyone, high elves who everyone hates, nurgle who says "its nurglin' time" and poisons ur entire army, the people who dont die, the tiny people who shoot you a lot and dont die, the ones that have so many political problems they just kinda kill themselves to the people who dont die, and much more!

The difference is that I'm speaking from the diaphragm, and putting deliberate emphasis on the parts of the sentence I want emphasized. Speaking deliberately creates a lot of opportunities for me to make fun kinetic edits and stuff. Not to mention the higher dynamic range lets me be more emotionally expressive through the voiceover. The "trying not to wake someone in the other room" kinda narration from the cruelty squad video would not have worked for the attitude of this script, and the laser focus on flow and pacing. But I do understand how it can be grating overall. I don't think I can do anything about that, but I'll try

Hey man, from the Sekiro review it seems like you are a bit of an enjoyer of Japan, if that's the case, the next time you get a strategy/Japan itch, I suggest you to try Total War Shogun 2. It's probably one of the best Total War games to this day, with 3 distinct campaigns set in different historic periods of Japan, the Default game is set in the Sengoku Jidai period where you pick a clan and try to unify Japan. Rise of the Samurai is a prequel which is set around the Gempei war, where the first Shogunate is formed and the Samurai become the ruling class. Fall of the Samurai is set in the Boshin war, where the traditionalists fights the modernists (Shogunate vs Emperor basically) and you can also try to make the country a republic and turn everyone against you. It's been something of an obsession of mine recently, with the amount of real quality mods it has it's a really good time even if you're a newcomer to the historical Total War games. Currently in the middle of my Hattori campaign where managed to become the Shogun and took over all of the East, and being a ninja rat bastard is so much fun. If you decide to give it a go, Rise of the Samurai is probably the weakest of the campaigns, meanwhile the standard campaign is great fun, and Fall of the Samurai might just be even more fun than the standard campaign. You also forgot to mention that the Lizardmen have a Hero called Lord Kroak, who is a mummified and reanimated Slann (a race of hyper intelligent toad men who are better at magic than any Elf currently alive). He died in the most metal way possible: by conjuring an actual sun and using it to detonate a whole army of Chaos Undivided Daemons that up until that point had been ravaging the world for actual thousands of years. You can use this sun yourself, and not only does it atomize anything it touches, your units suffer zero damage from it.

I think the big boon of using warhammer as an ip, is that the whole thrust of a setting based around a wargame kind of REQUIRES each faction and indivigual unit to be interesting enough to buy and compelling enoughto collect an army.
so by necessity, over decades, gw had to make interesting, unique, consolidated stuff that just so happened to translate perfectly to an rts. even if you don’t care about stuff outside of the game, I think that shows.

I love this game. The game where you have dark elves which have slaves and bully everyone, high elves who everyone hates, nurgle who says "its nurglin' time" and poisons ur entire army, the people who dont die, the tiny people who shoot you a lot and dont die, the ones that have so many political problems they just kinda kill themselves to the people who dont die, and much more!

It wouldn't be so jarring if you didn't speak exactly like him. Your voice in earlier videos (e.g., your Cruelty Squad review) is much better and I find Sseth's style of speaking incredibly obnoxious.
@@elverkongen2515 the cruelty squad is the same narration style, just executed worse. The difference is that I'm speaking from the diaphragm, and putting deliberate emphasis on the parts of the sentence I want emphasized. Speaking deliberately creates a lot of opportunities for me to make fun kinetic edits and stuff. Not to mention the higher dynamic range lets me be more emotionally expressive through the voiceover. The "trying not to wake someone in the other room" kinda narration from the cruelty squad video would not have worked for the attitude of this script, and the laser focus on flow and pacing. But I do understand how it can be grating overall. I don't think I can do anything about that, but I'll try

Hey man, from the Sekiro review it seems like you are a bit of an enjoyer of Japan, if that's the case, the next time you get a strategy/Japan itch, I suggest you to try Total War Shogun 2. It's probably one of the best Total War games to this day, with 3 distinct campaigns set in different historic periods of Japan, the Default game is set in the Sengoku Jidai period where you pick a clan and try to unify Japan. Rise of the Samurai is a prequel which is set around the Gempei war, where the first Shogunate is formed and the Samurai become the ruling class. Fall of the Samurai is set in the Boshin war, where the traditionalists fights the modernists (Shogunate vs Emperor basically) and you can also try to make the country a republic and turn everyone against you.
It's been something of an obsession of mine recently, with the amount of real quality mods it has it's a really good time even if you're a newcomer to the historical Total War games. Currently in the middle of my Hattori campaign where managed to become the Shogun and took over all of the East, and being a ninja rat bastard is so much fun.
If you decide to give it a go, Rise of the Samurai is probably the weakest of the campaigns, meanwhile the standard campaign is great fun, and Fall of the Samurai might just be even more fun than the standard campaign.

You also forgot to mention that the Lizardmen have a Hero called Lord Kroak, who is a mummified and reanimated Slann (a race of hyper intelligent toad men who are better at magic than any Elf currently alive). He died in the most metal way possible: by conjuring an actual sun and using it to detonate a whole army of Chaos Undivided Daemons that up until that point had been ravaging the world for actual thousands of years. You can use this sun yourself, and not only does it atomize anything it touches, your units suffer zero damage from it.
Kroak isn't reanimated, he's literally a mummified corpse. He just made the executive decision that being dead is not an excuse to skip work.
