Heyy buddy i didnt actually try that but it should do…try both the terminals in the engine bay and if that doesnt help then the battery. In theory it should work
Hello, having the same issue voltage is ready 13104 mv when the car is on. Im assuming its also the alternator. Did you replace it just just the brushes?
Hi Did you ever figure out the issue? I'm having an issue passing inspection because their computer can't connect with my obd plug. My own personal obd computer can connect though so I'm trying to figure this out. Thanks.
@@TKhouseofcars you might be on to something... The car would die at inspection whenever they put the obd plug on the car and I would have to jump the car. After I got 2 new batteries (2015 X5) but still can't connect to the inspection station obd computer even with the new batteries. Been to inspection 4 times now. Gonna try a obd plug from a donor car first and see if it's one of the metal contacts because one of mines looks a little weird. Then I'll look into the alternator if that doesn't work. Thanks!
@@chadwickmonard2512 battery dying is an immediate sign of alternator. You can check the voltage on the hidden menu. It should be above 14v. Check it at home for free before going anyways 😉
@@ebrahimdhorat5533 my issue turned out the be the obd connector. Bought a used obd wire harness and had to splice and reconnect every wire. Took it to inspection after and it finally passed. I also had a bad battery that had to be replaced but the battery didn't help my situation, only after replacing the obd connector.
If I was to pay you would you be willing to come and do it for me? I have all the parts ordered and be here by Tuesday, can’t find anywhere that’ll do it and running out of options lol
Assuming it’s the alternator , would hooking a jumper pack while scanning give it enough power to read the Ecu?

Hi yes i replaced just the little pins but it turned out to be the alternator in the end for me

Hey buddy check the voltage from ur alternator cos even if it drops a bit that can affect it. My alternator ended up being the issue for me

how do you take the pin off the wire to replace with with new pin? one of my pins are bent and needs replacing
Had to take what i could apart with a pick and the cut the remainder of the wire
Do you then just strip the wire and clamp the new pin on to the wire with the little clamp tool?
Where are you based?
In in Bristol and am having no luck finding anyone, at this rate I’m willing to pay someone to travel to me to sort it for me
