My wife is throwing baitcasting gear for the first time this year, and she's a natural. I got some competition this season, but at least I won't be netting them solo.
It looks like that musky was probably sitting there watching the lure that was sitting in the water. Cuz when the other lure was in the exact same spot looks like that fish came from the right on the video

Give them a break brother. Don’t hit em when there down. Every thing man made has a failure point and will only break while your using it. If it’s not broke your not fixing it till it does. Could of happened to you me or anyone else just like that. Not a rookie mistake. Forgetting the net though, been there done that. And I’m no rookie LOL
